i love sick characters who apologize for everything, who were made to feel like a burden or a pain for being ill. so i thought up sentences.

Whumpee to Caretaker

"Hey, sorry to ask, but can I stay home?"

"Please don't get mad, I don't feel well.."

"I'm sorry I threw up on your rug/clothes/bed, I'll clean it up."

"Are you upset at me?"

"I didn’t wanna bother you…"

"It’s not that bad, I don’t need to go home."

"Sorry, can you stay?"

"I’ve felt so terrible all day, I’m sorry."

"Would you mind picking up some tissues while you're out?"

"I hate being such a burden."

Caretaker to Whumpee

"Sweetheart, I’m not mad at you."

*finds whumpee hiding after coming down with something* "Hey honey, there you are. How about you come out and we’ll take care of you?"

"No, you’re not in trouble."

"I could never be mad at you for something like this."

"Why didn’t you tell me?"

"Whumpee if you’re sick, you need to rest."

"Don't be sorry, it's okay to slow down every once in a while."

"It's okay honey, lay down."

"I'm sorry you felt like you couldn't tell me, you're safe here."

"You're not bothering me."

slight emetophobia warning under the cut!!

busy whumpee feeling guilty for lying in bed all day, covered in blankets with a heating pad on their stomach.

preteen/teenage whumpee getting their first period. bonus points if they were never taught about periods and they freak out.

to kind of add on to the previous one, whumpee calls someone to come get them from school/work and that person picks them up and pampers them for the rest of the day

or they refuse to come get them/berate them for wanting to come home.

caretaker running their hands through whumpee's hair/ rubbing their stomach/ getting them their favorite snacks in an attempt to comfort them.

whumpee crying/ vomiting from painful cramps.

trans whumpee who gets really dysphoric on their period on top of cramps.

whumpee getting a bloody nose on their period.

whumpee being way more emotional than normal and feeling guilty for lashing out more frequently.

whumpee starting their period in public and getting embarrassed about bleeding through their clothes.

whumpee struggling to fall asleep due to not being able to regulate their temperature. taking off layers of clothing or blankets and still overheating.
