Well midterm break for summer school is over. But that means only 4 more weeks of class! Yay! (But only 6 more weeks until fall classes! Eek!) Getting a jump on next week's assigned reading, The Handmaid's Tale. I had planned on reading it this summer regardless of requisite. As for tea, I couldn't think of a better one for a hot July night than Midsummer Night's Dream by @davidstea, which is a "dreamy, romantic blend of mint, apple and gooseberries." It's been heating up out there the last few days, which my pasty white vampire complexion does not love.🌋☹😂 Given @teastains.on.bookmarks opinion about @savoytea's Ginseng Oolong yesterday I thought I'd try it iced today instead of hot. I sipped on this well into early afternoon (but I didn't leave my house until midmorning 😂) and savored the refreshing flavor. The aroma out of the package had a strong grassy scent reminiscent of China Sencha green tea. I can honestly say the aroma transfers to taste 100%. This tea tastes near identical to Sencha green, perhaps with a slightly sweeter herbal flavor. I enjoyed it iced, but I don't think I would like it as much brewed hot. One of my favorite summer drinks is iced Rooibos tea. This red herbal is lovely hot, but when it is iced it really brings out its fruity flavor with a hint of vanilla. I've been seeing the new bottled @teavanatea advertised on television, but was not sure where to find it. Well, I happened upon it at the local grocery store and was thrilled. I selected two bottles: the Mango Black tea and the Peach Green. The mango black was scrumptious! Not too sweet, and definitely not artificial tasting like many of the bottled teas. The peach green was good, but it could have used more peach, because the lemongrass and lemon verbena kind of overpowered it.
