Happy Mother's Day everyday to my Momma!! 😍😍😍 This Woman!! Goodgoshamighty!! When, as a child, I heard a sermon, but couldn't understand why Jesus had to suffer and die; she lovingly and patiently explained why Christ willingly died for me, prayed with me, and led me to faith in Christ!! 🏃🏽🏃🏽🏃🏽🏃🏽🏃🏽🏃🏽🏃🏽 I will never forget the time when I was 8 or 9 and had an allergic reaction (think Will Smith in the movie 'Hitch') 😂😂😂 We were driving back from the mall and I told my sister, "I don't feel well". She looked at me, and gasped, horrified. I started crying, my Mom turned around to see what was going on, my Dad looked in the rear view mirror, and pulled over!! They all began asking me all kinds of questions... I just wanted to throw up!! Daddy rushed us back home!! I had no idea that I had facial edema with watery blotches all over my body from head to toe! I just felt nauseous and itched all over!! When we got home, my Mother went into action!! Baking soda bath and rubbing alcohol later, I fell asleep. When I woke up, my Mom was beside my bed, on her knees, praying for my healing!! Thank God He heard her prayers and answered!! Soooo grateful for a praying Mother!!! Happy Mother's Day, everyday, Mom!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

If you ever get a chance to see- 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder'- do not miss it!! This dark musical comedy reminds me of 'Little Shop of Horrors', where the similarities are- the antihero resorts to a murdering spree in order to obtain his desires. However, in this story (set in 19th century England), main character, "Monty Navarro"; born to very humble beginnings, discovers he is actually eighth in line to become an Earl! So, to claim his rightful inheritance and get the girl, "Monty" succumbs to murderous schemes; offing whoever stands between him and his beloved title!! Great performances from all, especially the 2 male leads- "Monty Navarro", actor, Kevin Massy and actor, John Rapson, who morphs into nine different characters ( male and female) throughout the play!! Both actors were basically in every scene with the latter making full costume and makeup changes within a blink of the eye. (sidebar)...Backstage has to be a well oiled machine...The musical score was a little cliche' melodically, but it's saving grace was the witty/rapid fire lyric content...But the real genius to this play is the staging of each gory murder... I would never want to be on the wrong side of whoever's scary imagination thought up these vengeful scenes!! Each murder had the audience gasping upon inhale, then laughing upon exhale, then wincing with being exposed to the subtle aftermath of death...no small fete!! 'Gentleman's Guide' is an interesting, amusing, twisted, and frightful romp with enough humor to give this dark comedy a lighter hue... (at Ahmanson Theatre)
