Graphic novels

Hey everyone!! ...okay so maybe 'everyone' is the wrong term to use since I have like 6 or 7 followers but anyways ! It's been a while since I have posted anything ,more likely it's going to be an year soon but what can I say 12th class was a bitch too handle ( for ME )and I have never been more happy to leave it behind me !

Okay! So enough with the small talk , let's dive into the concerned topic - GRAAAAPHIC NOVELZzzzzz... This post is for every individual who has ever dared to say that comics and graphic novels are the same thing and have been the victim of a dirty ' could kill you with my eyes if I were Cyclops( it's an X-Men reference!)' look ;) Sure! they are similar but comics are short like broken pieces whereas graphic novels are long and are most suited for mature audience since they usually deal with heavy topics and also tend to be complex and gritty.

Recently I read a graphic novel- 'PERSEPOLIS'. It is a graphic autobiography by Marjane Satrapi and is so interesting that you get lost in the story. I could not keep it down for even 1 minute ! I have only read it's 1st part ,not the 2nd but it's okay since there is no cliffhanger.

I am attaching a few pages as a sample for you people .

It's cover is gorgeous and kind of gothic isn't it!!?? I absolutely adore it :) Hope you do too!

IT ENDS WITH US <3

I just completed it ends with us and my heart is officially a jumbled mess.. Before anyone starts reading it I feel it is my duty to tell you that this review contains SPOILERS..so please if you are hesitating even a little bit about whether to read it or not . Trust me or better TRUST COLLEEN HOOVER. She knows how to do justice with her book and characters.

Ryle made me feel a lot of emotions. He first made me swoon ,then made me wish for a guy like him and in the middle I wished to never meet a guy like him . Even though he did what he did , it did not made his actions justifiable. My heart broke in pieces for him ,in favour and against him .

Whenever I used to read or hear about any domestic violence incidents ,I used to think to myself ..why doesn’t she leave him ?! Its not so hard . just say I have had enough of you …you pathetic piece of a man!!! And leave him . never waste your time on him .

But I was wrong … Everything is not black and white or seems simple . There is a story within a story and this book tells the ultimate one . period.

I will always admire the strength of LILY ,even if she is fictional she is very much alive in my heart. And Colleen Hoover if you ever come across this review I have a few words to say to you whenever I think about you:

FLAWLESS WRITER WITH A SPINE OF STEEL I know it is a line but still soak up my compliments like a sponge ;)

Reading 'it ends with us ' by 'colleen hoover' ... I am taking a break between each chapter because I am scared I won't be able to stop reading it and I have a test coming up ... So yes I am screwed ;)

Reading progress :85% I just finished the part where Ben gets really upset and decides to leave the house*he is so adorable* after reading each chapter I think this child is my favourite one and then upon reading the next one I would say NO! Noo …wait ! this is definitely my favourite . But seriously I love all of them the same . each one is unique and smart and yes don’t forget adorable .they remind me so much of the couples:Raisy, Robalt and Lilo. Krista and Becca , both of them seriously pierced my heart with this adorable and emotional mess of a book.

New book review

Sooo..I read 'the bird and the sword' by AMY HARMON last night and I am replaying it in my mind ..ALL the time . yes this book is that much amazing . the words ..god the writing style!! . in short if you are keen to know what's so special about it let me do the honours . king Tiras , his description ,his courage and of course his sweetness made my want to kidnap him all for myself ;) The heroine , her way with words was truly remarkable . She was a combo of feistiness and sweetness. I loved all the secondary characters and the plot ,especially the twist. Now that I wonder ,what's not love about this book ?!!! P.S definitely a 6/6 star read for me

Well,this is going to be a long review so don't say I didn't warn you guys!

MAYBE IN ANOTHER LIFE by Taylor Jenkins Reid

WOW… this book made me question myself about my choices, alternative universe and whether my alternative life is better than the one I am in …the thing is…. (taking a deep breath) that after I read that sweet speech that Jesse gave in the endingS (the ‘Cosmo’ one) * and YES !!! there are 2 very happy endings, one for each universe!! * I started believing in fate and that everything happens for a reason . I loved Hanna very much.

I loved her theories, optimism,her obsession over cinnamon rolls and her jokes too much..

Henry ,their cute and funny banter, Ethan’s honesty, Gabby’s family which is also Hanna’s family -not by blood but by heart and Gabby’s true friendship !!! I loved it all :)

'Maybe in another life’ sucked me in its beautiful plot like a black hole ,like a demon sucking the ever loving soul out of a mundane .. I swear the comparisons that I am using no matter how spooky they sound shows how engaging this story really is !
