The thing is- I know that they cut her from tje movie, because of the fact that they changed...a whole l o t about Pete's backstory ( and personality as well, let's be honest), but. I still kinda mourn the way Pete actually h a d a family in the book.

I k n o w that she wasn't a huge character in the book or anything, but. Idk, the McVries siblings were just really dear to me. Especially since book! Pete a c t u a l l y died. Kinda has me wondering about how their parents told her about that ( or wether she even saw/ heard what happened) , and how much she even understood, considering how young she was.

Another quote that keeps living rentfree in my head, ever since I first read the book- and I'm quite sure y'all can tell by now ( funny thing is, it's not even really the first time he made a comparison like that. I'm particularly thinnimg about that one time he literally compared Stebbins' hair to a " sickly" halo🫠)

I know I've talked about the demi-god comparison quite a bit some time ago, but. This one is pretty interesting as well ( even if it i s a little similar, at least in some ways) . Especially in relation to the Major, who still takes on the role of this basically " god-like" figure in the eyes of tlw's society. Might yapp on about this this in a smaller extra post, since I don't want to drag this out too much, so.
