They were never meant to be. She was sent to kill him - the feared Demon King, later sealed beneath the mountain by the palacemaster, trapped and condemned as the villain. And yet, somewhere between duty and destiny, they fell in love and chose to have a baby.
When she was forced by the palacemaster to drink poison meant to end her & TLJ's unborn child, she chose him - and their baby - over herself. She changed the poison's fate, knowing it would kill her.
Alone, in the middle of a freezing winter, she fled with the poison in her veins and gave birth by herself, fully aware that she would not survive and put Binghe in a basket by the river.
And the cruelest part?
TLJ couldn't even be there for her. Sealed beneath the mountain, imprisoned by the palace, he couldn't save her, hold her, or stand by her side as she died.
