idk if this makes sense but i think the fact that life series teamups all Need to have a special unique group name is an indicator that theres too much overlap between fangroups and the players themselves.

its also a sign that we need to blow it all up and start again from scratch but thats a whole different thang.

i dont even mean this in like a "ohhhh duo names so cutes" kind of way, moreso that the "formula" of a season is way more tangible than ever before. theres no uncertainty; the "ideal" way to play the game is fairly understood by now - no fancy builds or bases, team up with people (and ensure you have some cute branding for the viewers), etc etc.

its like. get the resources you need for tnt and traps, the boogeyman stuff isnt surprising or interesting bc its been done to death....i dunno! i dunno. every new season feels more and more like the series is eating itself and regurgitating its most well-known traits back up at us.

everyone's rightfully devastated about cool minigames going away or worried about people not finishing up everyone they wanted to do. me personally I'm mourning the postal system before it's dead. I know you were infrequently used and painful to create but you carried on the tone set early on by the hermits of easy casual sociability. you also gave us the gift of bdubs threatening to send joel a bomb in the mail so I'll never forget you

pearltho team at the cost of the nefarious gemdubs team. etho is trying to do secret life 2 and have a quirky but peaceful team that becomes healing for previous season reasons and avoiding all the feelings associated with his death and hearing about bdubs grief. pearl is working through who she is in the aftermath of the villies and her early death but believes in a new good thing sort of limlife where she has a duo who acts sneaky but not antagonistic with her. and then gemdubs are constantly in earshot arguing about them both and eachother and everything
