I went viral this weekend.
I thought I understood it, that I could grasp it. But I didn't, not really. Only the smudgeness of it; the pink-slippered, all-containered, semi-precious eagerness of it. I didn't realize it would sometimes be more than whole, that the wholeness was a rather luxurious idea. Because it's the halves that halve you in half. I didn't know, don't know, about the in-between bits; the gory bits of you, and the gory bits of me.
LIKE CRAZY
It's that thing when you're with someone, and you love them and they know it, and they love you and you know it... but it's a party... and you're both talking to other people, and you're laughing and shining... and you look across the room and catch each other's eyes... but - but not because you're possessive, or it's precisely sexual... but because... that is your person in this life. And it's funny and sad, but only because this life will end, and it's this secret world that exists right there in public, unnoticed, that no one else knows about. It's sort of like how they say that other dimensions exist all around us, but we don't have the ability to perceive them. That's - That's what I want out of a relationship. Or just life, I guess.

I mean, one thing among the many thousands of things that are guaranteed to raise my blood pressure is when folks get all āthe internet isnāt real, and itās not a viable platform for communication,ā but also like, Facebook fights are dumb, Iām supposed to be an adult now.
So hereās the thing that got me all het up this week: gay marriage.
Ā Specifically, these goddamn things:Ā
