It’s not as though Dorian spends all of his time in this place. Just— enough of it that it’s beginning to raise some questions amongst his other companions. Why this one? they all want to know. What’s so special about this little cafe that has him coming back day after day?

He usually tells them that he comes here for the quiet. The soft murmur of voices and the gentle tones of music through the speakers is background noise that he actually enjoys while he reads. It’s still a lie, though; there are a million other Starbucks or Donut King’s or Yum Yum’s around the city. In truth, he comes here for the view.

Oliver began working here three weeks ago. The boy’s good at his job, from what Dorian can tell. He’s good with the customers, has memorized Dorian’s order, and he hums along to the music sometimes. Dorian is absolutely fascinated. Not necessarily infatuated, but he wants Oliver all the same. 

He continues going to the shop for another week.
