is thomas aware that alison doesn't need to divorce mike to marry him once she's dead? i mean by definition it is impossible to marry once you're dead, but being dead is a pretty solid way to end a marriage. he seems very concerned with the legality of this all

rewatching fools and seeing how overwhelmed and honestly horrified thomas is at alison returning his feelings, i can't help but feel that this moment was such a missed opportunity for character growth. this could have been a great jumping off point for making thomas realising he isn't actually in love with alison which would round off his arc nicely and could lead to a stronger platonic relationship between him and alison which would have been fun. it honestly baffles me a bit that this didnt happen because thomas no longer being into alison would change nothing about series 5 except a couple jokes and also could have improved the thomas and obi b-plot in episode 6. in conclusion, im going to have write a fic aren't i?
