          “Another nightmare, Noct?”

   The older man asks softly as he goes to take a seat next to the prince. He had noticed that he had left the tent and wished to see what was on his mind. Sage green hues studied the other.... It hurt to see how much this was taking away from him. A young man his age... Should not look so tired, so lost, so distraught. 

      A gloved hand reaches out, gently rubbing the other’s back, a simple gesture to show he was there.

Is Ignis spacing out? It sort of looks like Ignis is spacing out. No Prompto around to document the occasion for posterity, and Noct with nary a napkin nor paper airplane in sight. Oh, what a world.

“Specs,” he calls finally, intent on snapping Ignis out of it. His nose wrinkles slightly at the words immediately out of Ignis’s mouth.

“What sort of matters?” he asks warily, as if he is fully prepared to warp his way to safety depending on the topic.

   He could sense that the prince was ready to get out if need be. Something that simultaneously amused and bothered the strategist. No matter. 

          “I’ve recently assessed our supplies and I find we’re rather low... Especially on curatives. Upon checking our gil, I find it’s in a dire state as well. I would recommend we take up a hunt as soon as we find a place that has a listing. We have enough to pay for gas and some extra food, but that’s about it. I dare say we should be careful in choosing the hunt as well -- Lest it prove to be our last.”

   Ignis disliked bringing up such subjects with the prince. He had enough on his shoulders as it was, but when it came to this, he knew he needed to speak up. For it would require his direct assistance after all and in technicality he WAS the head of the group, for as much as Ignis directed.

Knowing Ignis would defend him over the council made the prince so happy his eyes began to glow pink with magic. He still had no control over the power; it seemed tied to his emotions. The water around them grew just a bit warmer which only made the pup even sleepier.

“You’re the best, Iggy.” Noct murmured as he snuggled closer. “I’m happy you’re my friend.” The sea turtles dancing around each other was helping him drift off and he settled for laying his top half across the mer’s lap. “Promise you won’t leave me? Not ever?” He looked up at his friend, sleepy eyes concerned. “Even if I don’t get better?”

   Ignis felt a twinge of pain in his heart at that... The fact the prince was so worried that if he didn’t get better all would leave him. He made note of the use of his magic, he still trying to figure out the nature of the selkie’s magic. A hand reached out, gently stroking the other’s hair.

          “I promise, I will never leave. No matter what happens, Noct. I will be here through thick and thin. Even if the very seas themselves should abandon you. Hush now and sleep. Dream of blissful things.”

Something I threw together in a few days - it’s again more an outfit for the World of Ruin, but I guess I’m just not having the sense fore really fashionable stuff. I leave that to people who have that sense and concentrate on the casual and practical wear. :)
