Bor

Bor’s casually chewing on some chicken fingers while listening to the elemental limericks. It didn’t seem like they were listening, not with their head tilted down and to the side, but they were.~ Underneath those crackles of those flames, they listened to each word carefully. When he was done, they decided to offer him a haiku: “A treasure in words, could you perhaps tell one more? Didn’t mean to pry.~” They finally looked up to Grillby directly to show him that they heard and wanted to hear. That constant smile of theirs growing a little show a genuine interest in this.~

His flames perk up at the baphomet’s voice and Grillby turns slightly to catch sight of his friend before the jagged line of a white smile breaks through the flames and a puff of smoke soon follows the crack of a chuckle. The elemental is almost ashamed of the time it took for him to recognize the haiku’s form (it wasn’t one he had heard in a while now). And while the monster is happy to offer more of the verses he know, he does offer Bor a warning underlined by the crack of fire, voice almost smooky.

The limerick packs laughs anatomical Into space that is quite economical. But the good ones I’ve seen So seldom are clean And the clean ones so seldom are comical.

He freezes in the least literal sense of the word, flames growing a few inches just for a moment before the elemental hugs the woman back and places a kiss to the top of her head. The affection is a welcome one even if it makes his very SOUL contract painfully with guilt.

Grillby chuckles to shake off the worry that clings to him.

A nod and a hum in response, Grillby looks around for a moment, before adjusting the strap of his backpack on his shoulder. It was supposed to be a simple trip back to Mt. Ebbot looking for something, but he hadn’t expected to run into a human so close to the entrance to the underground.

“You’re close to where the barrier once was” The elemental replies finally while nodding towards a path covered by vegetation. “... Can I see the rock you got?”
