I just want to remind pwNPD that despite all the stigma, prejudice, and "normalized" verbal abuse, there are people outwhere who do not fall for that shit!

We see you, we exist, we shake our heads in disbelief or get angry with you when we read about the "abusive narc. ex" who was everything but NPD.

I want to let you know that many of you are wonderful people. Sure, there are also assholes among them, but they are present in every demographic.

Your NPD does not make you bad. Quite contrarily, Iyour efforts, your courage, and your diligence are admirable. We see your strengths, the obstacles you overcame, the odds you fought - successfully. Your independence and your abiltiy to overachieve and doing better than predicted. It is not going unnoticed!

Even though the people around you may not see you, others do. You are lovable and capable of friendship and partnership! If people can't handle you, its simply because some people do not match. And thats okay.

But thats not because you are flawed or anything!

The Queer community has some wild takes

Recently, I was visiting the town I used to live in, a popular tourist town with a beach that I often go to. When I arrived at the beach, I randomly walked smack dab into a Pride event...and I was honestly disgusted. I am a kinky person in general, as well as bisexual. So I have no issues with people being kinky, gay, lesbian etc. - but I draw the line at involving kids in it. As I walked around, I noticed a lot of people wearing leather or pup masks, walking around topless, selling phallic symbol items, etc. at 11am, while kids and families were wandering around, clearly uncomfortable at what was going on. And I honestly can't blame them; I was feeling pretty icked out about it as well, and I'm 30 By all means, be proud of your sexuality. Be kinky as Hell. But not in public, in a place where kids and families are wandering around and exposed to it. I'm deeply ashamed of the people who saw this and thought 'Yeah, this is fine.' Apparently, this is a hot take and makes me bigoted, according to replies I received when I complained about it on social media. I've even had people tell me that 'Why should queer people have to adapt to families?' And it baffles me. Like it or not, we still live in a society. Being queer doesn't mean you can do whatever the Hell you want and break decency norms, and still get a pass because you're queer. If you want to do those things, then do them in a private place. Otherwise, you need to adapt to social norms, like everyone else does.

Maybe I'm just an old fossil, or a cantankerous curmudgeon. But hot takes like this are making it difficult for me to be a part of the LGBT community.

reinstalled shinigami eyes to take a look at the damage and it's so much worse than a year or so ago when i deleted it. virtually every intersex blog i know of regardless of how they feel about tme/tma is marked red unless they are especially vocal about liking it, countless trans men are marked red regardless of whether they are vocally inclusive, most who are marked green are either famous guys or are (somewhat) infamous for their transphobia and exorsexism if not also racism.

Plenty of transphobic cis folks are green. Virtually every trans-positivity account is red except for the ones who are unapologetically transphobic to at least part of the community. Countless trans women who vocally uses the term transandrophobia are marked red. Several trans women who dont even use the term but have at least on one occasion defended or sympathized with trans men are red. Several trans women who are bigender/NB/Etc with inclusion of any "male" or masc terms are red regardless of whether they seem to have anything to say about trans men.

It is BLEAK. I've been trying to remove reds and greens as I assess, but it is really really gross that it was a pretty well-known soft rule a decade plus ago that you didn't mark trans people red at all even if they were shitheads, unless they were actual proud terfs, because the flagging was guaranteed to isolate them from community.

Inability to assess risk and a total aversion to narratives that contradict what you assume to be the case for others is getting people into a lot of trouble.

Shinigami eyes is completely dead and less than useless, but since so many people still seem to trust it, I do not want people to keep getting flagged as violent evil transphobes cause they started identifying as genderqueer.

Embracing stink goblin mode

It's weekend and I'm tired of behaving myself, so I think I'll let my hygiene regimen slide and skip deodorant +showers for a few days. Sometimes, we need an outlet as humans, and I kind of like being stinky lol. (I promised my careteam I'd wash and wear deodorant daily, but it's so fucking dull. If they want me clean, they can just scrub me down and let me have some fun for a change lol. I'd like someone to scrub me down sometime)

Being wanted is cathartic

Last week, I got some bad news: my project leader might be reassigned. It hit my abandonment issues (always fun /s), and I felt really sad all weekend. Today, they told me that they're going to do their best to stick around in some capacity anyway. I know it's a small thing, but I'm used to being rejected for not being good enough, being too smelly, emotional etc. So it really means a lot that they are trying to stick around instead of taking the excuse to leave. It touched me, but in a good way. It makes me want to do better too

Turns out that being good at acting also makes you quite decent as customer support. If only I genuinely cared about their problems, lol; maybe then I'd be more motivated to help them instead of reading from a script xd.

Also, does anyone remember how the developers of Chrono X got a lot of flack for making Lan swear at one point during their demo? Well, it turns out that American Lan was made *very* kid friendly by the localizers. Because Japanese Lan throws out words like 'kurae!' (Eat shit), and 'kuso' (Shit/Fuck!') on the regular. I guess Chrono X's developers were more faithful to the original Lan than we thought

I have a cool translation tidbit to share about the early 2000's. I've been playing the Japanese version of Megaman Battle Network 2, and you have a country called Amerope. In the Japanese version, the people there have a speech quirk: they speak a mix of Japanese and English, using words like 'boy, guy, sorry' etc. But, when the game was translated into English, suddenly that quirk no longer works. So, what did they do?

They ended up giving some characters a French accent LMAO. Other characters talk in American ghetto slang; I guess that's one way to solve this. But man, I never realized how wild the early 2000's were when it came to game translation.
