I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again; “Narrative conflict” is not the same thing as “Interpersonal Conflict”. It literally just means “a reason why the ending doesn’t happen straightaway”. The “conflict” of a story that’s literally just a hike in the woods is that there are a lot of woods between where you started and where you end, and to “have experienced” the hike you have “experiencing” the hike first.
