TnBChallenge - Favorite Todd and Blair Outfit When you are considering two gorgeous human beings, it should be tough to choose. Not the case with Roger, ahem,Todd. Mercy. He was wearing that suit within the last inch of the suits little life. Lucky suit. Easy choice. Kassie, okay Blair, was tough. Blair was always a snazzy dresser. I loved her more subtle looks though. The simple black sleeveless number she wore for Todd and Blair's anniversary of their first meeting was simply gorgeous. Classy. Funny observation, Blair would occasionally tip to tacky after "Todd" left in 2003. I'm so glad TnB are back as the fashion icons of Daytime.

TnBChallenge- Day 12-Favorite Family Scene-Manning Christmas Card

All Todd Manning and Blair Cramer ever wanted was a family. They both grew up desperately alone, then Todd took a seat at the bar in Rodi’s, and neither one would ever be alone again. This scene is my favorite because it looks so natural. After everything they went through, the grin on Jack’s face tells the tale. Todd and Blair finally end up with their happy family. What a nice picture.

TnBChallenge-Day 11-Favorite Kiss-Jail Cell Kiss Jail is not sexy. Jail is not romantic. It is a testament to the talent of Howarth and DePaiva that this scene, in the most unsexy and unromantic of places, is scorchingly sexy and hauntingly romantic. Heaping more awesomeness on this scene is the fact that there is no dialogue. Not one word for almost two minutes. How do you do that? BEST. KISS. SCENE. EVER.

TnBChallenge-Day 10-Favorite Wedding-Gold Ballon Wedding

Once Upon a Time in the village of Llanview there was a Dark Prince. The Prince was cursed to live a life of pain and solitude The Prince accepted his curse and dedicated his days and nights to breathing fire and spewing venom, until he met a beautiful commoner who had aspirations of becoming a Queen. She was equally venomous and used her powers of seduction to subdue the men of Llanview. When the unhappy individuals became a pair, their powers were neutralized. They became whole. The curse was lifted. The Prince and the commoner fell in love and decided to marry. The wedding would seal their devotion to one another. He would provide for her, protect her, heal her, cherish her, romance her and love her. She would be his Queen and honor him as his wife-past, present, and future.

The Gold Ballon Wedding looks like a fairytale, because it is one. A beautiful fairytale.

When I had to decide on a fave family scene, I literally said to myself “can I just choose all of 2011?”, because there have been such amazing family scenes to choose from these past 2 years. But Christmas 2011 will go down as my fave Manning Fam scene ever. Todd and Blair, with their Shorty, Jack and of course little Sam (who we all know Todd dubbed as his too) all around this Christmas tree joking and reminiscing and FLASHBACKS!!! and just amazingness.

TnBChallenge Day 9-Favorite Engagement-Flying Exposed. Honest. Emotional. Soap couples are often portrayed as having a secret agenda. They may have feelings for their partner, but there is that little secret. The TnB second engagement breaks with that pattern. Whether it be due to the pending departure of Roger Howarth, or the "out of the box" writing of TnB, the second engagement is pure love captured on film. Todd and Blair have been hurt, and hurt each other, to the point of absolute misery. They have tons of money, but, they are painfully alone. There is nothing left. Todd Manning-the rebel-gets down on one knee and offers a very traditional proposal. It's an odd thing. Todd and Blair, in that moment on the Manning jet, become a very traditional family. It is part of the contradiction that is TnB. Traditional rebels.

Todd and Blair Shipping Challenge - Day 8 - For many reasons. First, I think it’s Kassie’s best song that she sang. I love Kassie and she’s a great singer but singing on soaps ALWAYS gives me second hand embarrassment. To the extent I have to either change the channel or put it on mute, but this song was so great. Kassie’s voice was perfect for it. In fact, I have to turn the volume up when she gets to “Stay.” Also, the looks between Todd and Blair can’t be beat. I mean Todd looks absolutely enchanted by her singing. And the fourth pic? Don’t get me started. The way Roger looks at Kassie… Err, I mean Todd looks at Blair is pure love. Just ecstasy.

TnBChallenge-Day 8-Favorite Scene where Blair sings in front of Todd It's Valentines Day and Capricorn is filled with lovers celebrating their love. Enter the town pariahs. When Blair sings everyone else disappears except for her husband, Todd Manning. This scene is so intimate considering it is so public. Roger and Kassie say volumes without uttering a single word. When she concludes the song, Blair and Todd tell their entire love story. A rose offering to communicate that she is his everything. A tilt of the head to communicate that she will trust him always. A look into each others eyes, and a smile, to say this is forever. Take note. This is why TnB works.

TnBChallenge-Day 7-Favorite face stroke/hand hold scene-Christmas Present Two friends fall for each other and take the next step. Isn't that how long lasting relationships are supposed to begin? Friends first. Lovers second. When Todd and Blair make love for the first time, they are both damaged people. Todd endured years of abuse and chose to direct the rage produced by that abuse on women. Blair had a lifetime of being used by men in exchange for attention and favors. Todd is crippled by his inability to accept love and affection from a woman. He feels his past makes him unworthy. Blair is unfamiliar with feeling unconditional love. She may be able to attract men, but she is painfully lonely. This is a beautiful scene in which two friends become lovers and give each other what the other needs. Roger shows Todd's fear of human touch brilliantly. You see the shame and insecurity as he flinches at Blair's every stroke. Kassie plays Blair's loneliness perfectly as she searches for Todd's eyes while pulling away his mask of hair. She patiently offers him what he needs. He humbly accepts and sacrifices his fear for a friend. A broken little boy and a lonely little girl.

TnBChallenge-Day 6-Favorite Argue/Angst Scene The Belt Scene Hands down, one of the most terrifying scenes I have ever witnessed. I swear his eyes turned black! Everything was pitch perfect. Blair's nervous shifting reveals that her bravado was absolutely fake. The ominous music reminds me of a horror film. The way he "checks out" and goes to an evil place before our eyes is awe inspiring. The slow ascent up the stairs as he drags his ring finger along the bannister. Then, when you think Blair is done for, Todd shows he is changed. He is reformed. Todd Manning is my favorite fictional character and Roger Howarth is one of my favorite actors. Both realities are due to this scene.

TnB Tumbler Challenge-Day 5-Scenes that made you cry.

It goes without saying that the most recent episodes of OLTL are filled with multi-tissue scenes, so I did not select from those. This is the toughest daily challenge by far. Kassie and Roger can summons emotions from places I can’t fathom, so there are many tear jerker scenes. The miscarriage-my goodness-Kassie is a missing a statue. The return from Ireland-Kassie and Roger both needed hardware. The scene I selected, however, was the Stable Goodbye scene. I swear I cry like a baby every time. Todd is on the run after having held the town hostage with paper towel rolls (he’s a true bad ass-I love him so!). Blair agrees to take Starr to the stables so Todd can tell her goodbye. Dang it I’m already tearing up! The scene shows how much Todd loves shorty and how much Todd and Blair love each other. Todd is with what’s her name and Blair is with who’s his face, but by their tender tearful embrace, you would never know it. Good Stuff!
