the actual main difference between data and spock is that data is almost completely sincere the majority of the time meanwhile spock is mostly lying or being a bitch for fun

once again, pointing out the beautiful tragic irony in quodo. quark is probably the only person in the world who loves and accepts odo unconditionally, but odo is so blinded by his obsession with kira he fails to see it. remember when odo turned collaborator? kira had already lost hope and believed that odo couldn't help them. meanwhile, quark INSISTED that wasn't who odo was. insisted that odo would want to help if he just knew what was going on with rom. what snaps odo out of it is that kira is about to be executed. he doesn't seem to care what will happen to jake, rom, or leeta (i think he does, but kira is the only thing snap him out of that "clarity" the other changeling offered him). quark consistently cares for and protects odo even when he does not deserve it.
