Construction on Miles’ dress has been slow. I originally wanted to have the listing up by the end of this weekend, but now I’m shooting for next weekend. I still have some fit issues to work out, I need to serge, press and possibly top-stitch some seams. Also still need to add in the off the shoulder sleeve thing, adjust the neckline, and hem it all. First Zelda costest! Captain Marvel dress update: I completely scrapped the first attempt and managed to make this new bodice in a day. With how difficult the first attempt was I was worried I wouldn’t be able to easily replicate it for future orders… but I used a more “top-down” approach this time and it’s so much better. Thinking about my previous Captain Marvel dress as I meticulously work on the current one… I make this dress for @mylittleecho for SDCC 2018 with scrap fabric I had lying around in under 2 days. I loved the ease of this look and the cute bow of the wrap skirt, but the yellow flounce definitely needed a little more work and a better fabric. … . posted on Instagram - http://bit.ly/2TEbHwm

Kind of late to the party but here are my very tentative plans for 2019 cosplays! These ideas have been floating around for a while but with the new year and ECCC coming up I wanted to actually select some so I have something definitive to set my mind to. I’ve have the fabric to remake supergirl for a few months so I’ll definitely be doing that. I’ve also been playing a lot of BOTW, which is the first video game that has actually managed to hook me (other than animal crossing lol). And you all know that I love cosplaying characters who I don’t need a wig for, so I’m throwing Adora in there cause I think they will be easy builds to make in time for ECCC. Captain Marvel dress update! After many scrapped pieces I finally have a bodice foundation that I like and a solid procedure for adding the detailing. I still have a lot of work to do before I have a final product that I’m 100% satisfied with, but I’m happy I’ve reached this point! Let me know if you’re interested in buying this dress when I’ve completed the prototype— for the official product I’ll use a lighter color blue (more royal than navy) and a much thicker + higher quality stretch fabric. . . . . posted on Instagram - http://bit.ly/2FkiMOW
