like crucially the hospital was in lockdown so if buck and harry had have found eddie they probably wouldn't have been able to Get to the blood so would have had to improvise and well buck would have probably been like Harry you go ahead to the basement and get the doors open. because Obviously buck is the one staying with eddie. and he manages to slow the bleeding but eddie has lost A Lot of blood. and buck's telling eddie to hold on, you gotta hold on. harry's gonna get the doors open and we're gonna get you a doctor and some blood and you're gonna be Fine! and eddie who is fucking Out of It is like, don't think i'm gonna last that long, bud. and then buck's like, Wait ☝️ i'm a universal doner because of course he is. and calls maddie and josh like is there a Supply Closet i can get to in this lockdown and miraculously there is! of course there is. and so buck has to leave eddie to find whatever you need to do a blood transfusion! with great difficulty btw. like he's holding eddie's face in his bloody hands like, you gotta fight, eddie. you gotta promise me. promise me you'll still be here when i get back. promise me. please please please. Eddie please you gotta promise. i'll be five minutes, just hold on. and eddie's closing his eyes like, okay. and buck's shaking his face like, promise, eddie. you gotta stay awake. and eddie's staring up at him hazy like, yeah. promise. i promise. not going anywhere. got too much to—too much i gotta say. words slurred and a little delirious. and buck presses his forehead to eddie's and says, save it till i get back okay? and eddie's nodding like, okay. and well anyway when buck gets back eddie is drifting out and buck's Panicking like, no no no, eddie. eddie. you promised, you Promised. and eddie comes around like, sorry. kinda hard to—to keep my eyes open. and then focuses on buck's face and smiles and says, easier now. and buck's eyes are Stinging but there's no time for that, and he's like, need you to stay awake, okay? just—just keep looking at me. what was it you wanted to say? and eddie's frowning. says, i can't remember. and buck says, that's okay. and, hey eyes on me, okay? when eddie's eyes start fluttering shut again. and eddie opens them again and looks at him and says, you're so beautiful. and buck laughs wetly and says, think that's the blood loss talking. and eddie's shaking his head, drifting again. and buck's saying, hey, hey, stay awake. you—you gotta stay awake, eddie. need you to talk me through this, yeah? keep looking at me. and eddie's nodding and looking and looking and looking. because wow buck is So beautiful
