I am Cara Mason. I protect the Seeker, also the one True Lord Rahl named Richard Cypher. I travel with him and his merry band of misfits, the Mother Confessor, Kahlan Amnell, and Wizard of the First Order, Zeddicus Z'ul Zorander. I am MordSith, HBIC and BAMS and wield not one, but TWO mean agiels. If you dare to hurt one or all of these people, including myself I will fuck your shit up. Just saying. I also lost my one true love, the only good thing to happen in my life since finding Richard, Kahlan and Zedd. His name was Leo Dane and he was truly this MordSith's Seeker. May he rest in peace. Agiel n. :: A magical stick made of magical stuff and bound in leather and scripted magic.  It is imbued with the magic of the Rahl bloodline so that the MordSith a.k.a Sisters of the Agiel can be bound to their master, their Lord Rahl, not only in service but in power.  It may look harmless but the agiel can be a deadly weapon!  Imbued with said magic, it has the power to produce extreme pain; even the MordSith who handle the agiels feel it’s pain as it radiates out of the weapon like a flaming plague, affecting body tissue and nerves as well as bodily organs.  It has the power to shut down the heart if kept in that area or the base of the skull for too long, killing the victim almost tortuously so.  The pain is what kills them and nothing else so they feel every moment before they die.

Again, even the MordSith feel the affects of the agiels, it hurts them just as much to hold it as it does for it to touch someone it means to hurt.  MordSith however are equipped to endure this pain because they endure a regimen of slow torture from not but little girls.  They are broken but taught endurance, power, loyalty, and that emotions must be governed.
