The directive is pissing off some members and disappointing others."--- http://jezebel.com/first-black-sororities-tell-members-not-to-wear-logos-w-1668796973 I saw this article yesterday and I found it very interesting---and very much so after having a conversation with one my frat brothers about Black Organizations (particularly Black Greek-Lettered Organizations) inactivity during these times or racial inequality and need for social justice. Black Greek Lettered OrganIzations were established during times of racial inequality, civil rights and need for social change. And in most cases, these BGLOs were in the forefront of these battles. So besides, hypothetically speaking, a soror or frater is caught looting or doing something inappropriate in their letters, what are some of the issues with #D9 members wearing letters? It would be a nice gesture of solidarity and stand for what the original foundation of our organizations were created. Many comments charged the idea of "image control.
