Anyone else ever think about how weird it would be for the DBD survivors to like, miss out on years of pop culture? Like, we know that Vittorio, Gabriel and some of the killers come from different time periods, but assuming that like the original characters were taken from their lives on their "release date" in the game, then that means that Dwight and Meg have been gone from the world for 8 years.

And that's like, elections, political tension, music and movies, all sorts of stuff.

Like World Cups, Super Bowls, etc. Anyone who has a favorite team they follow would probably be wondering if they took home the title. Ace wonders if the last couple bets he made would have won him a couple hundred dollars or put him into debt even more. Musically inclined survivors are probably curious about their favorite star's newest albums, and newer survivors all have the latest hits stuck in their head.

And for the younger survivors... MEMES. Like remember how different those were in 2016? Newer survivors are coming in with the worst sort of brain rot; some try to explain it to the others but some don't bother.

And then one day, Zarina, who was released in early 2020, is like, yeah there's a bad virus going around. Everyone's staying inside and isolating, but we think it'll be over by Fall. And then, Felix shows up, like, yeah no there's still a plague. And then Elodie and later Yun-Jin and Mikaela are like, yep we still have COVID

And then, Thalita or Renato makes a joke about the Queen dying...

And David just loses his shit.

And then Nick Cage shows up???

I think about that a lot.

Y’all Buddie shippers need to take a HARD look in the mirror because the nonsense you’re spewing has crossed every line. Saying Tommy or Ravi should’ve died instead of Bobby isn’t just unhinged fan nonsense—it’s straight-up homophobic and racist garbage.

Wishing death on Tommy, a canonically gay character, because he’s “in the way” of your precious Buddie ship? That’s not passion for your ship; that’s homophobia dressed up in fandom drama. You’re not slick. You’re reducing a queer character to a plot obstacle and cheering for his demise so your straight-passing fantasy can thrive. Newsflash: queer characters deserve to exist without being collateral damage for your fanfic dreams. And targeting Ravi, a Indian-American character, with the same vitriol because he might've been originally up for the chopping block? That’s racist as hell. You’re not just picking “random” characters to hate—you’re zeroing in on marginalized ones and acting like their lives are disposable. Check yourselves.

The BuckTommy hate has gone from annoying to outright toxic. You’re not “protecting Buck” or whatever you tell yourselves—you’re obsessing over a ship to the point of dehumanizing anyone who doesn’t fit your narrative. Tommy’s not perfect, but he’s a solid guy who makes Buck happy, and that’s canon. Your headcanons don’t get to rewrite that or justify your hateful takes. And dragging Ravi into this mess just because he’s not your fave? Pathetic.

This isn’t about “defending your ship” anymore. It’s about you Buddie stans letting your obsession turn you into the kind of people who’d rather see queer and POC characters dead than let go of a fantasy. You’re not just hurting the fandom—you’re exposing your biases and making it clear you only care about representation when it suits your agenda. Do better. Touch grass. And leave Tommy and Ravi alone.
