The queen glanced down from her book when she felt her daughter crawl up in her lap, a small smile spreading on her lips when she watched the small girl correct her necklace. It was incredibly dull with this banishment but at least she had the light of her life with her. “Thank you darling.” She whispered and held Evie close, pressing a small kiss to her forehead. “Are you getting hungry?”
She smiled at the gesture and kissed her forehead, something about this girl was so very special.
“So am I Snow, I promise I´ll do the best I can” Grimhilde chuckled softly. “You already are beautiful, One day you shall be queen and you have me and your father to help you with that.”
Smiling Snow jumped down from the bench and tugged on Grimhilde’s hand, to get her attention.
“Can we play hide and seek, Mama?” She asked, “I wanna hide first!”
The queen smiled teasingly and shrugged. “Perhaps, perhaps not” She chuckled before pressing a kiss to her forehead. “Off you go and hide.” Grimhilde sat down on the bench again and started counting, holding her hands over her eyes while hearing the small girl giggle, it warmed her hart.
As Snow ran along the garden paths she couldn’t help but giggle to herself, scrambling up into the branches of one of the apple trees that grew in the gardens the princess hid amongst the sweet smelling blossoms.
As she hid she fashioned a crown of pinkish white flowerets for her new mother.
“Here I come!” She smiled softly and glanced around the garden, the little girl could hid anywhere around here but she had a small memory of her husband telling her she loved apples. “Oh wherever can my darling Snow have hid?”
The queen walked towards the trees and looked around with a small chuckle, grinning when she saw the little girl in one of the trees. “Found you!”

When Maleficent first learned what the numbers on her wrist meant she had looked at her parents in pure wonder, as she couldn’t even imagine livng that long.
Time passed and when Maleficent noticed that the time was down to a year her heart seemed to strengthen and beat more firmly than is had in years.
When days turned into hours, Maleficent barely noticed. She was far away from her home, in a foreign kingdom and on the run. She had been shot at in her other form, an arrow penetrating her wing. In her human form, the injury was located to her shoulder.
The hunters were still after her and Maleficent kept looking behind her, which was why she didn’t notice the royal carriage before she ran into it and fell over.
It was unexpected that someone would run into her carrige but by now everything could happen. The numbers on her wrist had gone down to cero by this point but the queen hadn´t notice that, insted she stepped out and raised an eyebrow. “Do you know there is a arrow in your shoulder?”
Grimhilde closed the door and slowly made her way over to look at the woman.”And who might you be?” She raised an eyebrow before noticing the numbers on the womans wrist, all on cero. She glanced down to her own before her heart skipped a beat, she had been waiting for years and the woman was her soulmate. “Look at you numbers.”

Grimhilde smiled slightly from the voice and turned around, lowering the mask from her face before nodding. “Hello Maleficent.” She gave a small curtsy and took a sip from her wine glass. “How have you been?”
Maleficent slipped under the covers and covered Grimhilde’s hand with her own. “How are we going to do this, Grimhilde? Where are we going to live? How do we hide a dragon, how do we keep a dragon safe in this world?”
“We are going to do this together and we will succeed… We can live at my or your castle and we can´t hide a dragon but we can protect it.” She whispered and slowly wrapped herself around the other woman. “You just have to trust me everything will work out.”
“I’ll try,” Maleficent said and closed her eyes, shifting her hand to move over her stomach, soothing herself and the flutter she could feel inside. She opened her eyes enough to leave in and find Grimhilde’s lips, giving her a soft kiss. “And us?”
“Good girl” She nodded and wrapped her arms around Mal´s waist before feeling the kiss on her lips, she smiled softly and took a shaky breathe. “We will be the best mothers we can be”

“Then I will” Grimhilde nodded and dropped her corset on the floor and then her dress, leaving her in dark blue lace underwear. “I don´t like sleeping alone” She mumbled and laid down beside Maleficent, holding her hand on her stomach while pressing a kiss to her cheek.
