Elon Musk sucks shit and as an autistic person we don't claim him
I’ve listened to his monologue on SNL and it’s basically him being Sheldon Cooper, bragging about his money and what he’s able to do, enabled by his mom, the show and the audience. What sucks the most is that I’ve seen people writing that it made them change their opinion about him. Or that some comments about him, after his speech, showed that prejudice against autism is real (which, fair enough, true, but don’t apply it to a literal piece of shit like him).
He really used his diagnosis to win some brownie points and that rubs me the wrong way. I’d rather have Anthony Hopkins or Hannah Gadsby as autistic celebrities to look up to. Elon Musk is trash and his diagnosis doesn’t change that.
Not to mention he used the term “Aspergers” which is very outdated, problematic, and sets a barrier between those who are deemed “low-functioning” and “high-functioning.”.
Exactly!!
He wanted to use brain chips to “cure” autistic nonspeakers. The dude’s totally an aspie supremacist and a lot of shitty white dudebros who also happen to be autistic are gonna feel emboldened to use their diagnoses to be arrogant assholes without boundaries or sex pests, thereby giving the rest of us a bad name.
"Don't lie to people" is all very good until u remember how funny it is to give the wrong birthday to an astrology person and have them go "that explains so much abt you

You know what accessibility option I'd like to see video games adopt? The ability to increase the font size for in game text. I have horrible eye sight and it makes it hard to play games with a lot of text, especially when they insist on using the tiniest font possible. And even if it's not crucial to the game, I miss out on fun lore and stuff. There have been video games in the past where I've given up on playing because they were really text heavy but the font was so small that it was too much of a pain to play. Adding an option to increase font size would make so many games much easier to play and enjoy for me.

y’all i truly do understand that being depressed is hard as shit but you cannot be dropping how much you hate yourself into completely unrelated conversations
What if I say it in a funny way tho
its not actually that funny, it’s actually really uncomfortable
God put his finger on my sacrum and he lifted me, he set me in the center of the universe, the curious desire of my chronically lonely life.
It was cold and dark and lonely and I was scared.
