It's genuinely crazy how angry people get over fiction, especially in fandom. Someone having a different interpretation/opinion from someone else is not grounds to harass them.

I've started thinking (my first time, sorry, it's hard) why does babyttore exist?

I mean.. he's a child. How could have Dottore posibly found that useful? Maybe Dottore wanted to experiment. How would an infant behave around other segments with more experience. Or, how would the other segments behave around babyttore. Was that a social experiment?

Or, another way to see it. Maybe he wanted some sort of resemblance or innocence. Childhood, naive-ness (?). He wanted to have something more liveful around the lab. Something small and innocent for Dottore to remain somewhat human, as he would have to take care of the infant.

Maybe he just wanted to have a child with Pantalone with the excuse of "This one's smart though, not like other pesky, annoying kids."
