Okay so with the whole PJO/Epic crossover thing I’ve seen quite a bit of “Percabeth is Odypen reincarnated” stuff but they all seem to go by Percy being Odysseus and Annabeth being Penelope, when really I think it’s the other way around. Annabeth’s fatal flaw is hubris. She’d be the type to tell the cyclops her real name if she didn’t already know how badly it ended for Odysseus. She’s connected with Athena, she’s a warrior of the mind. Percy is Penelope because his flaw is loyalty. He would wait 20 years for Annabeth, never once questioning if she was dead, and do everything within his power to hold everyone else off until she came back to him.
