Since lots of people, including myself, are participating in the YouTube Boycott, I want to provide a list of things you can do besides watching YouTube.
-Go Outside, I'm dead serious. Take a walk, go for a run, or meet up with old pals in your town or proximity. Just do something while outside that keeps you away from the phone.
-Clean your room/house! Been unable to do chores recently? Use the time you would have been using to watch YouTube and clean your stuff up. Do some dusting, maybe vacuum your room. Do some sweeping and mopping. You'll be surprised how calming cleaning can be and you'll feel better since your place will be a lot cleaner than it was before.
-Watch a streaming service, if you have one. Catch up on some shows you have been meaning to watch but haven't had the time to do so.
-Listen to some music! Music apps and the Radio can have some good tunes on them. Maybe try a new genre of music. Might find something you like!
-Read a book, try reading something new, or read a favorite of yours. Or, if you read it, read some works on AO3, Wattpad, or fanfiction.net.
-Draw! You don't have to be an artist, just pick up a pen or pencil and draw what you feel like drawing. Or you can color in a coloring book, if you got one near you.
-Watch a DVD movie. Got a DVD player? Pick up a DVD of a movie you love and play it! It can be something new or a classic from your childhood.
-Take a nap! Rather than watch videos while lying in bed, actually use the bed for sleep purposes. Get some needed rest that you might be missing out on.
-Play a video game! Not finished with a story in a game because you have been busy? Start playing again and keep going in the story. Playing Minecraft? Build something new or go explore your world! Wanna just play some online games? Go ahead and play it!
There are more things I could add to this list but this is just some stuff you can start doing today that are not only good for temporary activities but also for more long-term stuff, in case you decide to boycott for more than a day. These are also just good and healthy things you can do for yourself besides being good distractions from watching YouTube.
