Sam: I wanna hug you so bad right now. Nobody deserves to go through that on their own let alone when they're as young as you were back then.

Sam: Not going to lie, it hurts a bit that you didn't tell me but knowing who made you leave town and make sure that it all stayed a secret for all these years helps. It puts my anger where it should be, your mom. If that makes sense?

Sam: I wouldn't be saying it if I wasn't sure. So yeah, I'm totally sure.

Quinn: I would take that hug with no hesitation. Yeah, nothing like being a teenager and being plucked from your life, your friends, everything, just to go do something that's hard enough for adults, let alone someone who was my age.

Quinn: I'm so sorry. And it makes a lot of sense. I'm still angry at her too.

I don’t think I know anyone who has that much energy at 4am, and honestly, it’s mildly concerning.

I’ve heard of you, Mason, which means I’m sure you’ve heard of me. Quinn Fabray. Star cheerleader who lead her teams to consecutive world wins through high school and college, and now I own the competitive cheer gym here in town, and I own one in New York. My teams don’t lose.

Ay, that’s not good. Things backfiring at you are never good. Try me, I might want to hear about it all. Unless it has anything to do with a major crime that can get you locked up for years, I think I’ll survive. But only if you want, of course.

Don’t worry, the only crime I ever did was drinking underage, but I think we all did that at one time or another. I’m too pretty for prison.

Sam: I can understand that. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it all so I can only imagine how hard it must have been like for you all those years ago. To have to go through all you have and then giving up JJ while you had nobody there to talk to.

Sam: Please know that I'm not mad at you, if that's what you were thinking. Not mad at you at all. Mad at your mom, yes! At you? No!! Actually kinda proud of you that you managed up the courage to tell me about JJ. That must have been hard to do.

Sam: If you need a shoulder to cry on or even someone to yell at - if that helps processing it all, you're always welcome here. You know that, right?

Quinn: It's like reliving one of the most magical, and equally traumatizing days of my life, and I feel like I've been kicked in the heart.

Quinn: Thanks, Sam. That was my biggest fear in telling you, that you would hate me for keeping it from you. It was hard, but I knew that I needed you to know.

The therapist in me has all sorts to say about emotional numbing and avoidance tactics, but she’s a nosy bitch and needs to mind her own business. It would also probably be ethically irresponsible of me to suggest hair of the dog, but if you need someone to buy you a glass of wine and offer to kick whatever’s got you bummed, I’m totally your girl.

By all means, if she wants to be a nosy bitch, she can try. Is it ethically irresponsible of you to be a therapist to your friends? Please, wine might be good right about now.

Oh – okay, I can certainly do that, no problem at all. I try to organize something at least every couple of months, so It’ll probably be sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas – we get a lot of carols and holiday songs for those nights, but non-seasonal songs are always encouraged as well. Let me know if you change your mind, I’m always happy to help a fellow performer take the stage again.

Thanks.. I’ll definitely try for one of those instead. Thank you for being understanding, it really.. it’s just not the right time for me right now.

Booze’s famous for that. Makes you forget for a few hours but the emotions always come back. At times, tenfold because you are feeling like shit due to that hangover. Drink lots of water and eat some greasy food. That hopefully helps with the hangover. As for for the emotions, I’m a good listener.

The real kick in the pants is that I didn’t forget, I just got more upset, and felt sick too. So the entire thing really backfired on me. I haven’t been drunk since college, either, so it’s new territory for me. Water is a given, but I’ll order in something greasy and home it helps. And for the emotions, believe me, nobody wants to hear about all this. But you’re sweet, Bill.

It’s definitely not my norm, but sometimes you do what you think you’ve got to do. I’m fine. Please, be judgy if you want, I lived my entire life with judgy people, so it’s really no skin off my back.
