I love these little dudes tbh. This is one of my roux celadon girls that's about to get retired to a nearby home for pets/eggs.

I brought this girl in because she injured her foot on something, and I wanted to clean and treat it, and move her to a separate cage to keep an eye on/treat, and the first step was therefore a foot bath. She was understandably confused as she's never stood in water before, so she got a bit wet. I dried her off as much as I could with a towel, then got a dry towel to sit with her until she's Dry dry before she goes back out.

And shes just kinda chilling, enjoying the tummy rubs and preening herself intermittently. I know I try to breed for calm birds, and I know people that have gotten them from me say they're surprisingly calm, but I don't actually hang out with them one on one much. I play with them as babies and I take care of them as adults, but we don't just hang out much. It's fun, though!

CRITICALLY ENDANGERED.

Now found in 2 locations in the coastal area of TX, this subspecies was once found in grasslands all along the coasts of TX and LA.

A subspecies of the Greater Prairie Chicken.

Today's Marshmallow. She's around a lot, but hard to get a photo of. She was a bit too friendly as a fledgling, but became warier as an adult, thankfully
