George Ezra - Don’t Matter Now
“‘Don’t Matter Now’ is a song I wrote in late 2015. See, for the first time in my life I was starting to experience bouts of anxiety. Although, at the time I didn’t know that was the name for what I was feeling. My anxiety was triggered mainly by the modern world! It’s a fast and chaotic life that we now lead and we don’t often get the chance to take ourselves away from everything going on, just to breathe and compute it all. This song was written to be nothing more than a reminder to myself that it is absolutely okay to remove yourself from time to time and to take stock of everything going on around you. It’s an anthem for all of us over-thinkers and second-guessers.”
