I watched John Wick: Ballerina because it had Ana de Armas and it looked pretty cool. It was good. Kinda gave b-movie vibes, the dialogue was choppy and not well-delivered, and the plot was a little confusing, but not terrible. It was a cool idea with poor execution.

Because of my newfound love for making fictitious connections between movies with the same actor/actress, I am now figuring the connection between Eve and Dani (from The Gray Man), and while I could go the twin route like I've done with almost everybody else, I think it works even better to say they're the same person. After she excommunicates herself from the Ruska Roma, she joins the CIA in hopes of putting her skills to better use.

i just saw someone refer to Simon as “whimsical”…?? we’ve lost the meaning to that word oh my god i hate tiktok sometimes (or, most socials at this point).

actual definition:

he is evidently none of those things? i’m really starting to wonder if we’re all watching the same movie. mass mischaracterization is one fandom phenomenon that pisses me off the most as you guys know. this also sort of plays into the uwuification of Simon, who is VERY MUCH a capable deeply troubled but also strong and guilt-ridden man. it’s so sad and confusing to me that you guys dumb down such a great character and not even as a joke. you seriously characterize him this way and DARE I SAY occasionally play into harmful stereotypes. we are supposed to be better than this😭

i don’t know how many times i have to say this, but i’ll say it again: Simon isn’t some cutesy whimsical crybaby and he certainly isn’t an idiot that makes serious decisions without putting thought into it. this may not seem like a big deal to you, but it is to me.

edit: i’m starting to feel like my best writing comes out when i’m upset or just feeling a lot. huh.
