Okay SO SORRY my brain is dual hyperfixating on PHM/Bloodymary and pokemon, so let’s do some pokemon teams. These won’t be type based (not really anyway) and based more off vibes :3 also @falinkslover I dunno if this is the crossover you wanted but it’s a start :3

Dr Ryland Grace:

In his team of six, Rotom, Bewear, Porygon, Vulpix, Torterra, Kricketune

Now my reasoning: Rotom is an electric pokemon and I think could help him with his experiments and general maintenance on the Hail Mary. I think he’d have Torterra because they remind him of Earth and his students. Porygon (any variation really) reminds him of space, of the unknown, and the things he gets to learn. Vulpix I think is self explanatory :3 I HAVE to give mister fox man a fox pokemon :3 And then Kricketune was a debate for me, but I think they’d remind him of Rocky with their musical sound. Bewear is an odd one, but I think he reminds him of Simon, cuddly, sure, but intimidating and able to hold his own.

Now if he was in a relationship with any of them, I think it would be Rotom (mister doctor FREAK over here) or Vulpix :3

Simon:

Simon’s team: Gallade, Tropius, Shiftry, Shelgon, Haxorus, Thievul

I debated a LOT on what pokemon Simon would have. He’s been mischaracterized by the fandom SO MUCH

I picked Gallade because I think having a psychic type to help calm his brain down when he starts hallucinating would be a plus. Tropius and Shiftry because of his love for plants. Tropius is known as the fruit pokemon and is designed like a tree. I think that brings him some comfort when you think about his love for the last tree on Eden and his maple sapling. Shiftry for much of the same reason, I think Simon raised him from a Seedot, all the way to his final evolution just to watch him grow.

Shelgon was kind of a joke, but I think Shelgon reminds Simon of Rocky :3 and then Haxorus reminds me of Simon. On the outside, they’re both ferocious and intimidating (especially post mutation Simon), but really truly they’re sweethearts. And then MUCH of the same, Theivul, because Simon also needs a fox pokemon to remind him of Dr Grace :3

I think for pokephilia purposes, he’s in a relationship with Tropius or Gallade :3

Rocky:

He was probably the HARDEST to decide :0 but: Beheeyem, Cacturne, Empoleon, Timburr, Cubchoo, Kricketune

Yes I did use Kricketune twice BUT OH WELL

I think all of Rocky’s picks remind him of other people. He’s a very caring individual (be it in his Eridian form or his human form), so he wants to be able to see his friends in his team.

Beheeyem I believe reminds Rocky of being in space for 46 years. Beheeyem has the power to rewrite memories, so I know he thinks about his crewmates. Cacturne reminds him of Simon, actually. Everyone likes to say they don’t get along, but I believe they’re ALMOST as close as Ryland and Rocky are. I know that Rocky can’t ever decide between Empoleon and Avalugg for Adrian, but that Empoleon makes more sense because of how regal they are.

Timburr reminds him of himself and his fellow architects on Erid. He’s always creating something, and I know he’s grateful his people helped Simon and Grace live on their planet. Cubchoo reminds him of Grace, and, do I really need to explain that one? /silly I also did add Kricketune again, because it just MAKES SENSE that Rocky would ADORE communicating with another species that talks through music like he does.

I DONT however, think Rocky would be in any relationships with his pokemon :3 he’s got his hands full with Grace, Simon, and Adrian
