FFXIV: Subcommand Customization.

Nophica’s teats! Where have I been all this time? There is my dream function in the game, a function I’ve always wanted and was always angry that I couldn’t configure it, and yet I never realized it had been there.

This function allows you to move menu’s commands up or down, rearrange them to suit your preference.

It doesn’t have any Keybind set to it, and default setting has it hidden from item menu. You have to look inside System => Keybind => Shortcut, and then assign any random shortcut to it, so that you can use that shortcut to open this window.

Once you open it, it will show Subcommand Settings, where you can move any sub-menu option up or down, or hide it deeper in the menu tier. This can be done by selecting the desired commands, one by one, and hit the right arrow button to move it to the Second Tier window.

When you finish, remember to hit “Apply” button. Now, you can see that all the commands you chose to hide inside “Second Tier” will not show up in the first menu window anymore.

This is great for the commands you don’t want to accidentally click when and if, for example, your mouse or keyboard goes crazy on you. I’ve been pulling at my hair since a few weeks ago because my mouse right click is being mean to me and it often click the second time without my consent, resulting in me accidentally unequipping items, removing things from the FC chest when I only wanted to “Search for item,” or equipping the damn ring when I actually wanted to Desynthesize it.

For me, I hate how the “Unequip” and “Equip” command is at the top of item menu when I right click an equipment. So, in Subcommand Settings, I moved those below “Repair” command. Now Repair will be the top option in my item sub-menu. :) All happy!
