here is a test that i did with my friend kamil.  my color palette has come full circle.  this green and yellow cast is what i was using in the late 90s and early 2000s.  it gives a new meaning to ‘going green’.

several months ago, my good friend natalie kates curated an art show entitled ‘one or the other.’ it was there that i was introduced to an amazing painter named eric helvie.  i recently reached out to photograph him in his studio, and eric (who i now call friend) happily accepted.

california boy number 2...my fellow orange county kid, preston riggs.  shot right after el niño slammed southern california hard.  the shallow path of water in the last shot was literally a raging river just days before.

i consider myself blessed to have opportunities to shoot fashion stories on a somewhat regular basis.  and i love sharing and collaborating to create these projects.  this one in particular was designed to benefit and promote all the parties involved--and for the most part, those actively involved were truly grateful.*

the beginning of the year, i found myself super busy with shoots...including this one for yrb magazine.  it was one of the speediest and most gratifying ones that i’ve done lately.

i was blessed with an amazing opportunity to travel overseas for a job recently.  i was flown to london to photograph a band on the rise.... lukas graham.  at the time they were very new to me.  of course now i cannot walk around nyc without hearing their song ‘seven years’ playing on every corner.

the best part...? that was my first trip to europe.  thank you yrb magazine--especially my friend darius baptist-- for making it happen.

i had the awesome opportunity to work with aidan smith from adam models for a story i call simply...grey.  it is truly a gift when a model just knows how to move, and this was certainly the case for this shoot.
