Chaukhandi Tombs
Located: Karachi, Pakistan
These tombs, with elaborate sandstone carvings, are located in Karachi Pakistan. They were mainly built during Mughal rule sometime in the 15th and 18th centuries
They are burried South to North (which is very unusual for both the area and time period). The tombs at Chaukhandi are renowned for being one of the most haunted sites in the region, and visitors are particularly warned against entering the graveyard at night.
The Wieliczka Salt Mine
The mine’s attractions include dozens of statues and four chapels carved out of the rock salt by the miners. The older sculptures have been supplemented with new carvings made by contemporary artists.
For teaching: Geology?
ive been there and its fucking awesome
I’m so glad our post-collapse descendants will have dungeons to explore.
I saw the first picture / map, and I thought this was going to be an RPG supplement.

Karl Schwarzschild
He provided the first exact solution to the Einstein field equations of general relativity, for the limited case of a single spherical non-rotating mass, which he accomplished in 1915, the same year that Einstein first introduced general relativity. The Schwarzschild solution, which makes use of Schwarzschild coordinates and the Schwarzschild metric, leads to a derivation of the Schwarzschild radius, which is the size of the event horizon of a non-rotating black hole.
Schwarzschild accomplished this while serving in the German army during World War I. He died the following year from the autoimmune disease pemphigus, which he developed while at the Russian front. Various forms of the disease particularly affect people of Ashkenazi Jewish origin.
Asteroid 837 Schwarzschild is named in his honour, as is the large crater Schwarzschild, on the far side of the moon. (source) (biography) (more)
