Dude, that's totally normal. These hints are understandable when you understand the subject. Even Goose herself wrote that all of this was meant to be presented vaguely and interpreted differently. At the same time, everyone is different; they view things through the prism of their own experience, and naturally, some people read these hints completely differently. And by calling such people stupid, you are simply showing your own incompetence.
I literally had an experience similar to the one with the maid's dress. And I was absolutely disgusted by it. And naturally, I was triggered by the fifth episode, because through the prism of my experience, I saw the moment completely differently.
I understand there are idiots who deny canon. These people are truly problematic. But people like you are also the bearers of negativity in the fandom, who start attacking people just because they see something differently than you.
While I do understand where you're coming from, I would like to point out the FULL part of the dialogue I made for someone who denied the claims of Jax being trans, which was not entirely based off of them missing certain hints. I wrote this out entirely because I saw multiple people saying it almost exactly the same way I phrased it. The main part I wanted to draw attention to was the "no theories" and "forced" part.
While, yes, I am COMPLETELY aware some people can just miss the points or certain topics in stories, it gets to a point, and I think that point is when people are outright denying that anyone wanted or believed Jax to be trans or when they start saying certain hints or points are irrelevant simply because Jax "isn't a good enough person" to be a trans woman, or that the representation was forced even if Goose, a trans woman, has stated Jax was a self insert since almost the beginning, so it really wasn't all that "forced" in my eyes.
While I do see where you're coming from, or maybe I don't, I really didnt mean to target those who were completely and genuinely unaware of such things while the show was happening, and instead the people who actively search out points or "facts" in order to disprove that Jax isn't trans or that she doesn't deserve to be so.
Again, the target point of my post was pointing out the people who actively deny and shout out claims about Jax being a trans woman or how she isn't trans because she didn't outright say it in the show (even if that was just done to prove her internalized transphobia, sexism, and misogyny and how terrified of being feminine and true to herself she actually was), I was not going after those who misread certain hints but I am sorry if I came off that way, and I may have done so because I, maybe unrightfully, assumed other people would understand what I meant due to how I wrote the first part out, but I don't understand people, nor social cues, all that well.
Again, really, I appreciate the points and the reasoning, but I also already knew said points and was not pointing those things out. Thank you for your time, deepest apologies if I came off as rude, unaware, or just incompetent during this post, that will never be and is never my intent to anyone besides those who I do not respect, which were the "point" of this in the first place, which are transmisogynists and homophobes who actively deny points on Jax being trans out of rudeness and stubbornness.
Sorry that this post was so long and wordy, and maybe redundant, but I really hate to be viewed incorrectly and felt a deep, sinking dread at the thought, so I genuinely NEEDED to write all this out. Sorry, again, thank you for the points.

you know i wish i could act surprised about the masses of people (mainly on instagram, i think) who are denying that jax is now canon trans because she never said it out loud. but i also remember when disney released a bunch of baymax shorts and there was a scene of him looking for pads and a man in a trans flag t-shirt said "these are the pads i use for my periods" and there were people on twitter still insisting he was not a trans man

i find it very very telling that people immediately started going kiwifarms on gooseworx right after the final episode of tadc dropped on yt and the reveal that fan favorite character Jax has been a closeted trans woman this whole time, radically recontextualizing everything about her and her actions. everyone in the fandom has been completely fine with other queer representation in the show, even Zooble who is also trans representation, but i guess a complicated and flawed transfem is just a bridge too far.
i don't care about old social media posts that have coincidentally and mysteriously "resurfaced" following the outrage of transmisogynist fans. you clearly missed the part of this where Jax is reflective of Goose's past behavior of using edgy and harmful humor to play the bad guy and push people away in order to cover up the fact that she is a trans woman. you missed the part where Gooseworx has explicitly grown past that kind of behavior and Jax is an exercise in extending empathy to a past version of herself who was trying everything in her power to be uworthy of love and care. you fundamentally do not understand the art you are a fan of.
Gooseworx's ban by @staff is transparently due to harassment by transmisogynists attempting to turn her into a "controversial figure" for "ruining" their favorite edgy jokey rabbit "man" by revealing she's been an edgy jokey rabbit woman this whole time. i will block anyone attempting to justify this ban. i do not want those who would enable such an obvious transmisogynistic witch hunt to interact with me or my content. fuck off.

One of their posts ended up on my fyp and it genuinely almost made me fucking sick. It REALLY can't be that funny to see people get uncomfortable at the idea of their f/o ABUSING them.
Oh and if the owner of that account does happen to see this, don't reblog it respectfully. I don't want my account on that page in any way, shape, or form.
