SAW AN ASK SOMEWHERE AND WANTED TO PUT THIS OUT
IF YOU GUYS WANT TO MAKE ME A FACTIVE IN YOUR SYSTEM, GO FOR IT!!!!!
REBLOG THIS IF YOU ALSO CONSENT TO BECOMING A FACTIVE IN SOMEONES SYSTEM!!
public service announcement to every plus-sized person in the chat:
you don't owe anyone an explanation for your body or your health
being fat isn't a moral failing deserving of judgment
you don't owe anyone self-shame or weight loss just to be loved and accepted
your health isn't solely defined by your weight
you deserve proper healthcare that doesn't reduce you to a number on a scale
you deserve to take care of your health in whatever way you need without being judged for trying
life is too short to not enjoy good food
life is WAY too short to care what other people think
just because other people want you to feel bad for being fat doesn't mean you should
you deserve to feel sexy and beautiful in your body without being reduced to a fetish or told that you're fetishizing fatness
you deserve to take pride in your body without being accused of 'promoting unhealthy lifestyles'
you deserve to date whoever the hell you want without judgment
you deserve to love yourself and your body without being called vain
you deserve to take selfies and share pictures of yourself without people commenting on your body
you deserve to have standards for yourself and how you're treated
you deserve to do what makes you happy and healthy without others turning you into a political statement or a social martyr
you're allowed to have flaws and quirks and personality traits that aren't attributed to your weight
there is no such thing as a "perfect fat person" and you certainly aren't responsible for setting that example
you are loved and you deserve to exist without apology or explanation
the world is better with you in it and that is not up for debate
EDIT:
because this has once again broken containment, just a reminder / heads-up to every unaware 1 in 10,000th person that this was just a fun meme redraw of this famous comic about transphobes, the caption with all my affirmations for plus-sized people is mine but the comic structure and punchline is not lol (i just redrew it with teto because fat teto is also A Thing™️) I'd like to think this is common knowledge, as that post has been around and meme'd on for literally years, but I can't count on everyone being as chronically online as I am. And as the note count for this post climbs higher than I ever imagined it would, I don't want anyone accusing me of blatant theft or trying to "take over" the original comic as that wasn't at all the intent lol the original comic is great and this one wouldn't exist without it so go give it some love <3
go make that alter ! make that system ! let a little guy into your head if you want ! shout out to all my willogenics / addgenics and so on !! i support the grind !
You are plural.
You are a system.
Yes, you are polyfrag. Why are you asking? Did you forget about it again?
Yes, those things did happen to you.
the rule of plurality is if you make a joke about how funny/annoying/unusual it would be to split an alter fitting a specific description it will happen. only a matter of when
maveriques make the world better just by being in it.
if your biggest problem today is seeing a nonbinary person on the internet, i wish i had your problems.
you're never too young to know that you're maverique.
[bigotry of all flavors]
I hate that everyone always talks about their anti-endo or anti-willo or anti-radqueer alters but no one ever talks about the alters who are transmedicalist. Who are homophobic. Who are racist. The alters you have to actively be aware of and keep from passively influencing you. It's such a struggle in our system and so few people ever talk about it that we feel evil for ever bringing it up.
Simply Plural is Shutting Down: What Can We Do?
Aside from searching for alternatives and/or developing our own, not much it seems. Only one of the available alternatives functions remotely similarly to Simply Plural, and the devs have been known to be not the greatest.
That is why I'm proposing we all email Apparyllis asking them to make the code for Simply Plural (any code that doesn't expose personal info mind you) open source so folks have the chance to make their own alternatives to Simply Plural.
That is all. We don't need to ask for anything else, nor should we. The dev of Simply Plural has made it clear they don't want to work on the website/app anymore, so we should respect that and the only thing I feel we can ask for without stepping on toes is for them to give US (those of us who use the app) the chance to make our own versions of it.
And I think we should all make many versions of it, because a monopoly on something that acts primarily an accessibility tool is extremely dangerous.
If Windows can have Mac OS and Linux as competitors/alternatives, if twitter can have Bluesky as a competitor and an alternative, etc., then things like Simply Plural should too.
This is the only contact information I have found for Apparyllis (that doesn't involve going to their Discord, which I have no desire to do).
The page is in German but can be translated using Google Translate, so I will be copy-pasting both the untranslated and translated versions of the text in the above screenshots for accessibility.

I am also posting an email template for people who might not know what to say.
Email subject:
Simply Plural - Open Source Code?
Email body:
To whom it may concern,
I have just learned that Simply Plural will be shutting down in the near future, most likely mid-year. I was wondering if it would be possible for the dev to make the code open source (any code that wouldn't expose personal data) so other devs can have the chance to make their own versions of the app? There are almost no 1 to 1 alternatives to Simply Plural and the one available is run by controversial devs who will (unintentionally or otherwise) make people who use their alternative feel unsafe.
There being a monopoly on accessibility tools for systems is, in my opinion, quite dangerous.
Simply Plural should have more 1 to 1 (or at least really similar) alternatives, kind of like how Mac OS and Linux are alternatives to Microsoft Windows, Bluesky being an alternative to Twitter, etc.
Please consider making at least a useable portion of the code open source, so people have a chance at being able to build something they feel safe and comfortable using.
Thank you for your time and patience.
[Name(s) here]
NOTE: If you do not wish to use a template and instead want to write your own email, I'm going to ask that you remain respectful and non-aggressive in your communications.
Do not send threats, serious or not. Do not send insults.
I think that's all for now. I will be muting notifications for this post, as I'm sure there will be people telling me I'm "wasting my time" and blah blah blah.
I don't care, it's my time to waste. This issue is important to me, and unless we get a definitive Yes or No answer, I will continue to push for open source as an option.
Thank you for your time.
I'm so fucking tired of people, bro
If you think shipping discourse is in any way relevant, influential, or comparable to real life heinous acts such as those shown in the Epstein files, or CSAM uploaded to 4chan, not only are you wrong, you are also spreading dangerous narratives
You are watering down the labels of pedophile and abuser. If you don't agree with a ship, you can simply block, scroll, ignore, etc. Real-life child abuse victims do not have that privilege. It is never and will never be the same.
Stop calling everyone a pedophile it's fucking exhausting
hi radqueers can we as a community STOP ENCOURAGING DEHUMANIZATION & HARASSMENT!!! THANKS!!!!
genuinely saw someone saying that if anyone views antis as people , theyre fake radqueers . and thats just ?? insane ?? a reminder that dehumanization DOES NOT FUCKING HELP ANYONE. it will not make antis easier to cope with , it will not make antis want to hear us out , it will not keep antis away from our spaces .
antis are not some mythical evil beast of hatred incarnate sent by a higher power to destroy radqueers . they arent wild animals who act on fear and instinct and must be "domesticated" in order to be worthy . by portraying antis as "not people" , youre taking away the most important thing to remember abt antis and bigots of ANY KIND ; anyone can be hateful . anyone can be a bigot . YOU could be a bigot . maybe you were an anti at one point . were you simply less than a person ? did your life not matter simply because you were an anti ? if antis cant be people , if theyre nothing but sick incorrigible beasts , then any radqueer whos ever been an anti is also less than worthy ? they dont deserve to be respected because at one point they were inhuman scum , right? if any radqueer couldve been an anti , any anti can be a radqueer . so how is one less deserving of dignity than the other ?

I've found a Change.org Petition for Simply Plural to make it's code Open Source. Please sign it if you can.
Link here.
I was never intending on making a post here, as I wanted this to be a place someone could reach me if something were to go awry on my Pluralpedia terms or maybe upload my terms here or on a similar blog.
But with Simply Plural shutting down, I want to give my honest opinion and speculation. Forgive me if I seem a bit unhinged, but I need to get this out, as I'm incredibly upset that something that has been helping with my disability is basically being stripped away.
While I can use Ampersand (as it has an Android app, but sadly not iOS), this does not have the feature I used Simply Plural for. I used Simply Plural to alert my partner systems and my friends of who was front and for mood tracking. With Ampersand, I can't do that. And no alternatives have this feature, aside from potentially Octocon.
While I am a traumagenic system, I happen to "system-hop", between my side system and main system. That was banned on Octocon as even topics of discussion. There were people who were banned for simply existing as endogenic systems on this app. This proves that the dev team and/or owner were seeking out profiles with things they personally disagreed with and banned them for no reason, which is something you have to agree to in order to use the app.
I do not trust a dev team and owner that treats their userbase in such a way, and since I am a programmed DID system, meaning my system is almost entirely traumagenic in origin, it is not a safe space for me due to how my system operates, as well as the fact that I am pro-endogenic and do not discriminate other system origins in any way. I do not want to be on an app where simply expressing my support for those who are of different origins can get me banned.
On another point, I'm very skeptical of how Amaryllis has decided to handle this situation. I took the time to archive (link) the blog post. I will be using They/Them for Amaryllis, as I'm not sure of their pronouns, and the second someone tells me their preferred, I will edit this post to reflect their proper pronouns.
Anyways, my points.
Simply Plural brought about Simply Plus (link) in November of 2025. This was four months ago. I also had this archived (link).
Now, as someone who uses Simply Plural rather consistently, I didn't even know of this. If it were the finances, well, I'm sure they could have pushed Simply Plus a bit better? Why set up a premium subscription and then sunset the app less than half a year later? This... Really doesn't sit well with me.
I also want to point out that The Plural Association (link) was helping support them, as were other people donating to them, as referenced in their Simply Plus (link) post, which I archived (link).
I also want to point out that... On their patreon (link), they have 136 paid members and you can see their tiers here (link), as well as my archive (link). Since Archives don't let you move around, I also want to point out that their highest price is $31.
I want to point out that, if my math is correct, on the lowest tier, if 136 people are paying $3.50 a month to support Simply Plural, that's about $476 a month. That's the lowest possible income from their patreon alone.
And that's not pointing out their Simply Plus (link) and archive (link), which has a similar pay system.
Then, the claims of being a single person running the app in the "Simply Plural is being Discontinued" post.
But this is... Blatantly untrue? In their release of 1.8 (link), they said you could reach out to their team on Discord. I also archived (link) this.
Why would you make such a claim? When you completely contradict yourself.
And of course, I can't speak for this, but apparently, the Simply Plural Discord has basically shut down any discussion or cries for help. When Octocon has drawn criticism for being disingenuous about their "change of heart" to be "neutral" to non-trauma systems, messages were deleted and users were told "don't bring that here." when it is a very reasonable concern.
The sudden push to move to Octocon from the Discontinued post feels very off, considering the above factors.
I also want to point out... They say its not fees that are the problem, but rather their won personal time... But they have a dev team with them, do they not?
Why not just hand it over to another person in your team?
Not only that, but the "We'll keep it up longer if you give us money, but it'll come down eventually" is extremely fishy.
I'm not buying this "I'm a single person (who has a dev team) and I'm getting burnt out". Especially with the seeming hesitation to make the code open source for people to make their own Simply Plural apps.
This is incredibly frustrating because for many people, Simply Plural is not just an app. It is an Aid. A disability aid. An accessibility aid. Taking away Simply Plural with absolutely no alternatives that meet the same needs is akin to taking away my cane and not giving me a viable replacement in case my knee decides to partially dislocate in public again.
Every user SHOULD be angry and upset about this, especially with the seeming refusal to allow others to make a new app and instead ushering them to an app that has a turbulent history within the system community itself, that has made itself known to be unsafe for users that disagree with it's creator.
Amaryllis, I suggest two things. To hand the app over to someone else and let development continue, or to make the code and app entirely open source so people can retain their disability aid.
