I just finished reading Radio Silence and there's so much I want to say. Alice Oseman has this gift of being able to express very complex ideas in a very meaningful, respectful and understandable way, and I admire her deeply for that. I just got immersed into the wonderful universe she created and I couldn't be more grateful.

This book took me on a journey that I didn't know I needed but helped me heal in a way that's difficult for me to explain. The way she built those characters is pure. I just can't help but love it because this concepts of found family, friendship, interpersonal relationships, mental health, abusive family, LGBTQ+ visibility and so much more, are rare to find displayed in such an innocent but realistic way.

Aled made me understand, or at least see differently people of my own life, and I just appreciate it so much, because there is so much going inside people's head and we simply don't know. We'll never know most of the times. I really value the worth of friendship in this story, I love that is not about a romantic relationship but a truly "platonic love" one, but a deep friendship and sincere love for each other. I also value the detail of Frances hugging people to comfort them, I bet she gives the best hugs. I loved her evolution through out the story, the way her friendship with Aled let her discover her true passion, even before they were actually friends. I love how she overcame Carys and made peace with her past.

The characters and the whole story is just so wholesome. Thank you Alice for creating such art!

There is so much I want to say but I don't know how, honestly. Alice inspires me so much to tell my own stories but I don't feel capable yet.

Radio silence is a love story, definitely. But not a conventional one.
