Olive the pug is only three and a half months old and has undergone a massive operation, two ultrasounds, blood tests, skin grafts, x-Rays, medication, drips and 4 different diets in her short life. She needs to see a specialist as soon as possible, but the gigantic vet bill is making it very difficult for her mommy. Bad days are inevitable. You will have them. But it is how you deal with them that's most important, I had one of those today. I felt extremely demotivated and I even missed a training session. At the moment, I'm trying to talk myself into the right mindset again, because that's what it's all about: the right mindset. How do you deal with your bad days?
Skipping is my absolute favourite high intensity exercise. I get bored with an exercise really quickly so I need something that stays interesting. I love that you can do so many variations while skipping. It is a bit difficult to skip in the beginning, but it just takes practice, practice, practice! It gets easier, promise. Also, skipping kind of makes you feel like a lil badass. 😉💀💪

It makes me angry that some people believe they are entitled, or more important than others. SO ANGRY. Maybe if people focussed a little less on themselves and a little more on others and the world around them, this place would be a bit better. We seem to get caught up in ourselves so quickly. Add reaching success to this and we completely lose all sense of humanity. We create this vision of ourselves in our minds that we are now for some reason much more important than the guy at the corner begging for a meal. We place ourselves on a pedestal and start expecting others to do the same. Well, it's time to wake up buddy. The sun doesn't rise just for you. No-one on this planet has more right to be here than anyone else. We were all created equally and we all deserve to be here, as human beings. We all deserve a shot at our dreams, and ALL dreams are important. We all deserve a chance to live our best life. We all deserve to exist regardless of what we have done it gone through. And let's not forget that we're not the only living beings either. We are not superior to any other life form. And you are not superior to anyone else, so get off your pedestal, realize that there is no difference in importance between you and the next person walking through the door, look at what's going on around you, knuckle down, get in there and TRY TO MAKE IT BETTER. I'm not saying you should change your entire life, I'm just saying that a little goes a long way. Make life a little better for someone else today. 👊💙
For most people who train for aesthetics, a perfectly defined 6-pack is an important goal. And although abs are made in the kitchen, as they say, a defined midsection still requires some solid, lean muscle and a strong core. Since I am currently on mission #AbsLikeSlabs, I will be sharing some of my favourite ab and core exercises and I invite you to join in and get active with me while building and strengthening those abdominal muscles and core. It all comes down to education: what to do when. There's nothing like a bit of positive pressure to inspire one to work harder towards those goals. It targets your entire abdominal area, as well as your lower back and abut of shoulders. It takes some times to get right, but it's a great exercise! There's no words to describe the feeling of knowing you're headed in the right direction. I've been kind of tippy toeing around trying to figure out which road to take. And I'm excited because I finally know where I want to go and what I want to do.
