I'm less interested in recent adaptations of Sherlock Holmes, but I think we're overdue for a modern, big budget, sexy Raffles movie, with a star studded cast to reflect the upper echelons of Victorian society (I personally think it would be hilarious to have Benedict Cumberbatch as Raffles), and of course make it very, very gay
The Meeting
Holmes and Watson meet Raffles and Bunny on a train.
Our new fic inspired by these caps.
Young Sherlock verse Moriarty's henchmen are exceedingly polite and gentle with Sherlock whenever possible because they never know when James and Sherlock are going to temporarily reconcile.
Like, sure the boss said to lock Sherlock in a box, but last time he swore he was going to kill Sherlock, there was some interesting noises from the room they were in and the next day James ordered his henchmen to bring him and Sherlock breakfast. So sure, they'll lock Sherlock in a box. After making sure he has a pillow, some water, and a snack.
That’s my head canon as well! Also, crack head canon: spies know if they say they work for Sherlock, they might get to live. This becomes such a big problem that James starts checking with Sherlock, only to realise with frustration that Sherlock just confirms any spies as his, regardless of who they really work for. Yes, they might be working for awful criminal organisations, but he is not going to have any deaths on his conscious.
So this crack head canon is not letting me go and I now have an idea for a fanfic. A very silly, smutty and cliched fanfic. Now, I don't write fanfics, so please feel free to write this if the idea takes your fancy, I just couldn’t not share it.
It goes thusly: Moriarty catches Sherlock receiving information from his spy in Moriarty’s organisation. James figures out who the spy is, but agrees to let him go on two conditions: firstly, no one else can know he was a spy - bad for discipline and for Moriarty’s image to be seen letting him go. Secondly, Sherlock must remain Moriarty’s prisoner (I know, I know, I never said the idea was fresh or original) until Moriarty renders the information useless. It’s up to Sherlock how that goes, he can choose to spend this time in a bare room maybe with a book, or… and of course Sherlock chooses “or” (otherwise this would be an idea for an introspective existential character study, not for a smutty fic).
The rest of it is basically interactions of various shades and intensity of sexual tension, with some very mild dubcon (but not really) overtones.
But also, Moran getting exasperated with his boss for wasting time and resource to urgently rebuild part of the operation instead of just killing the spy (the information Sherlock received was encrypted and given they were caught right after, James could just kill the spy; but that would make Sherlock sad and James can’t have that).
Also John getting worried with Sherlock’s continued absence and going to Mycroft, who instantly realises that James is behind it and taking John to confront James. Only for John to go: this guy might be a Napoleon of crime but he got Sherlock to eat and sleep, so whatever this is, I approve. Another week of this sanatorium for Sherlock? Yep, doctor’s orders.

I want to believe Mackenzie occassionally works with Tiffin! Holmes because can you imagine the headache he would get from needing to watch the sexual tension between Sherlock and James, knowing full well that afterward, he needed to drop in on Raffles and Bunny?
My headcanon is that Mackenzie is gay or bi, but being a policeman, he is very careful to keep it underwraps. He's not going to rat others out. But it was fatally dangerous to be gay in Victorian England, and so his blood pressure spikes whenever he witnesses others being so obvious about it.

No but I know someone who does
It's so important to me that Beatrice initially brought Cordelia and her brothers with her when she planned to kill Silas.
Almost like a present in a way, like a cat bringing a human a mouse.
I don't think she fully knows how to relate to her family the way most people would because of how Silas raised her.
So from her pov, I think it was like, "He lied to me and turned me against you, mum. He hurt you and us. So look at what I'm going to do! I'm choosing you over him permanently!"
I'm cautiously optimistic about the new Moriarty series.
Him being paired with an original character is an interesting choice. I'm not even necessarily opposed to them being shipped together, though whether I end up shipping them will depend on the show and their portrayals.
But I do hope we see Moran and that he's more than an extra. Friends or lovers, Moran and Moriarty should always be incredibly close.
Short lived peaceful morning…
Dark and twisted idea: Obviously, James seems to be at least okay with murder, possibly even enjoy it.
In contrast, Sherlock can't stomach the idea.
The first time Sherlock needs to kill someone, he starts falling apart and panicking.
James loves Sherlock and is genuinely worried about him. He wants to help. But he's also incredibly aroused by watching Sherlock kill.
So James tries calming him down and comforting him. First, James kisses Sherlock. Then, when that seems to help, he takes it further, and the two have sex.
From Sherlock's pov, James is giving him something else to focus on, to help Sherlock ground himself and not feel alone.
In James' defense, that's completely true. It's just also true that as he makes love to Sherlock and tells him it will be alright, James is replaying the moment Sherlock killed the person over and over again in his head.
The shenanigans Rathbone and his Moriartys get up to are canon in my mind. They definitely happen in Young Sherlock verse, too.
Moriarty's henchmen, Watson, and Lestrade are really sick of what they can only interpret as James and Sherlock's bizarre BDSM games.
Sherlock, wtf do you mean you fantasize about James draining your blood? James, wtf do you mean you fully intend to fulfill this fantasy?
James is the reason Sherlock and Victor Trevor never became more than friends.
Sherlock: Mother, there's something I need to tell you.
Cordelia: Yes, what is it darling?
Sherlock: I... I like men in the way most men like women.
Cordelia:... well, I should hope so, otherwise you would have been misleading James for quite some time!
James: What do you mean Milverton is the most dangerous man in all of London
Sherlock: Well, you see-
James: I'll claw his eyes out! The skank!
Beatrice is the one who shot Milverton. You can't convince me otherwise.
She knew Milverton needed to die, and she also knew her dear brother couldn't do it. So she masqueraded as one of Milverton's victims and killed him.
