Well, does anyone remember about Identity V boycott? It seems that nearly everyone moved on from this situation and Netease just ignored the negativity towards the use of AI. I guess, this boycott didn't have any effect

I feel so strange about AI situation in Identity V. I am not surprised, that Neteas use it, but I also feel so dissapointed. This game really had impact on me and gave me a lot of inspiration. I still want to make a redesign of the skin, which I don't really like. However, I after doing this redesign I will probably stop drawing fanarts for this game at least for the nearest future. Moreover, I have already quit this game.

GENERATIVE AI HAS NO PLACE IN IDENTITY V.

today im sharing this fairly old orpheus and emil art I started but never finished over a year ago to stand with the other artists in the identity v community who are utterly repulsed by netease’s shameless usage of generative AI in their recent content.

a large part of the reason ive loved the game, and stayed with the game as a fan and player of 6 years, is because it inspired me to explore character design itself and draw more than I already did. identity v’s developers were always incredibly supportive of both fanartists and their own artists alike. it’s an understatement to say that I find it incredibly upsetting that they are replacing their hardworking artists, who have brought the community joy and content to look forward to for years, with generative ai. these are real people who have been affected by this decision.

even though i don’t have a big platform at all, and very few people may see this - im very disappointed. even my old drawing is better than the AI slop theyve been putting in the game and using for advertising. not to mention charging a diabolical amount for skins, just for their designs to be AI generated? this is horrible.

Despite the situation I still believe we can influence something: Netease are already preparing a response, and they have previously been forced to abandon the use of ai in one of their projects. The worst thing you can do is wave your hand and say, "nah, these big corporations will continue to participate in a race, AI won't go anywhere." If you agree with me and you have the strength and desire, write them by email. Human artists are the only artists, AI ISN'T ART.

Well seeing how white Lily and dark enchantress are literally two halves of the same whole, there was no good way of defeating her in a peaceful way. Cookies have tried to tell her to stop. Its a WAR and many were already lost before they were brought back. Peace stopped being an option when she became "Human" and she KEPT being set on this new world order.

White Lily also passed after she stabbed DE which shows they were linked in that way. No one was happy with the tragedy but white Lily came to terms with what was gonna happen and did what only she could. Her friends mourn her. She was loved still. If she didn't defeat DE, everyone would literally die too. That timeline would be SCREWED. Yeah it sucks she died. It always does with characters yah love but sometimes the story will go in a direction not everyone will like or feel satisfied with.

Interesting enough, Silent Salt actively WANTED death if it meant taking out the corrupted. His views are complicated and rooted in his own convictions yet it was still for cookiekind yet people are mad and hate him. Solidarity and Freedom became a new Hope anyways

We can only wait for act 2. It ain't over yet even though most seem to think so

Well, even though I don't like the ending of heŕ arc, I have to admit that her death is an obvious outcome for her in this situation

Maybe I will change my opinion about her death later, but now I'm just really upset how it turned out for her

Well, I wanted to share my thought about 15 episode. The ending of White Lily arc was really dissapointing for me. All her arc was about accepting her bad side and forgiving herself, and then she just d!ed. Are you serious???!! Wow, apparently you can only be fully forgiven if you sacrifice yourself. If you make a mistake, you don't deserve to live. What a refreshing and unique conclusion!/sarcasm In my opinion, it makes all her development meaningless

Also, I don't really what they did with shadow milk. I'm afraid, that devsisters favoritism will ruin his character. I suppose, that they made him new big bad, who wants to change the world/timeline/etc because they like him more than white lily

P.S. English isn't my first language and also I have problems with expressing my thoughts, so this text may be awkward
