I would love to know Pitaka's history with Goblin Jr

Hari was Pitaka’s best friend back on Quini-Nui who mysteriously disappeared

In reality, Hari was an Av-Matoran displaced during the Time Slip, but Makuta Gobulin discovered his true nature and abducted him, transforming him into an experimental Shadow Matoran

Years later, Hari seemingly managed to escape from the Makuta’s grasp and reunited with Pitaka, but tragic circumstances and Gobulin’s plans caused Hari to transform into a Shadow Toa in the Makuta’s image and go insane, becoming Toa Fikou’s friend-turned-enemy who blames Pitaka for failing to save him

810NICLE DAY

It's bionicle day, so here's some of the toa I drew as part of a commisioned set sometime last year. Looking back at when I was making these, I had thought that it was when I was stll refining the biomechanical elements of my style, but I've also found things from that time that were further down the line in detail. I still need to get to Onua and Pohatu, but haven't quite had the time to just sit down and draw a bunch of pieces for a little while - plus I feel nervous about if whether I'd manage to capture them in a comparable amount of detail haha, don't want any of them to stand out in an unusual way

VooDoo Heads (the idea that later developed into Bionicle) concept models

Matoran society concepts in my head that I need to flesh out more:

Group of Le-Matoran traders who live exclusively on a fleet of airships that sail wind currents throughout the MU. All of their trade with the world below is done via cranes and elevators, it's a point of pride for them that they never touch the ground

Village of De-Matoran who live in a cave system specifically carved to have perfect acoustics inside and perfect soundproofing from the outside. Their culture is built around a never ending musical performance that they all take turns maintaining, which can be heard with no distortion or muffling anywhere in the cave system.

An outpost of Ce-Matoran who live around a natural outcropping of memory crystals, the main job in their village is to commune with the crystals and try to interpret the memories they find in there, as well as cultivating new experiences and memories for them to add to the crystals themselves. Some of these crystals form part of the GSRs long term data storage, with many of the memories they see in the crystals being observations Mata Nui made of the other worlds he visited.

Another one to add to the list: a small subset of Ko-Matoran on Metru Nui whose job it is to climb up / abseil down the sides of Knowledge Towers to make repairs in the crystal, clear out ice bat nests before they get too big etc.

It’s a physically demanding and dangerous job, so not very many Ko-Matoran apply for it, but those that do are very respected within Ko-Metru. At least, amongst the messengers and lower ranked scholars anyway. I’d imagine the higher ranked scholars would still be pretty snobby about any Ko-Matoran doing manual labour like that, no matter how essential the work actually is.

This group would be known by the nickname of the “Crystal Climbers”, with the Rahi of the same name being their official mascot and emblem.

Mata Nui being asked questions about his world by his friends but he's been so checked out from his own people for so long that he's honestly pretty foggy on the details. Do they have kings on his planet? Mhhhh hmmm well. Queens he thinks. On at least one continent. How many kinds of Toa are there?? At least six! And then a few more. Do they have doors??? Please do not ask him that. It feels very complicated. And don't even mention the concept of romance to him. He's been sort of comatose and a little distracted even before that ok
