harvesting period pain and given it all to kevin day
yeah
kevin day scratches butttttt (he lost a bet)
thought carousel
aaron distancing himself from andrew after their deal was broken off (as he deserves) and them both ending up with a slight emptiness inside them
aaron looking to his side every now and then expecting andrew to be there next to him (and he’s not there. he’s never there anymore. and as relieving as it is, it still hurts.)
andrew spiraling because he was right without the deals he’ll only be deemed useless and abandoned yet again.
anyway after graduation they call once a month
I wish irl grinding was as fun as in videogames tbh. Like yeah i need to go to work a thousand times but after that i have enough materials to buy a house. But alas, houses arent real

Jeremy hating being called by his last name now, but absolutely reveling in it when anyone calls him by his last name after he takes Jean’s. Replaying games where the announcer refers to him as Moreau, and loving when his pro team call him Moreau to get his attention. Saving everything that says “the moreaus” on it. Beaming when someone addresses him as “Mr. Moreau”, and being completely, and perfectly, and incandescently happy when Jean calls him “Mr. Moreau”
Andrew watching his nieces trip and fall and hurt themselves while playing. Andrew who hears them wailing and yet approaches them so calmly; as if there isn’t a screaming child (and/or children, if they both fell) involved. Andrew kneeling down to their level and accessing the damage before he asks “Does it hurt or are you just upset you fell?” because yes there is a diff.
His niece(es) looking up at him with familiar hazel eyes and sniffling. They look at him and then at the bruised or bleeding or maybe just scraped spot, then back at him. “Both.”
That (“Both.”) gets them a piggy back ride to the car where Andrew keeps a small first aid kit. After he’s bandaged them up though (or not, if it wasn’t that bad and the situation didn’t call for it), he makes sure to remind them that it’s OK to cry at both things but also: “You’re very tough. Don’t forget that. You’re strong.”
And that… makes the sweetest little smiles light up their faces. The pain is forgotten; the injury is dressed; the bad memory dissipates.
The twin(s) go around the rest of the day boasting their princess bandaids like war-torn battle scars, telling all the other kids on the playground that quote “My Uncle Andrew said I can do anything” which isn’t exactly what he had said, but the sentiment is similar enough and it’s worth it for how their eyes sparkle.
sorry i can’t go out tonight i’m at home sitting down
