It's another side game vs main series matchup, and this time it's a head to head of the 'A' names!
The underdog of this match, Arley from Pokémon Ranger, is another member of the sinister Societea! He boasts incredible strength, and to match his physical prowess he wields the power of the Pokémon that towed the continents itself- Regigigas! A former wrestler known as Arley the Destroyer, he seeks to recapture his youth along with the rest of the Societea, perhaps to return to his glory days? Will he win this first bout though?
Standing in Arley's way is the captain of Team Aqua, it's Archie! A formiddable man of the sea, he was once a friend of his eternal rival, Maxie, before their diametrically opposed goals led them apart. As with all the Hoenn villains, he received a redesign in Generation 6, emphasising the piratical theme- and buffing him up a bit! An interesting tidbit about Archie is that he's the only villainous team leader who's been known to meet a mythical Pokémon, as in the Team Aqua hideout there's a picture of himself and Shelly as children meeting Jirachi. Will you make his wish come true? He's a fearsome leader that inspires loyalty, can he rule the waves of this competition?
