Probably I found my personal point what makes me say what is "Trek" and what is "not Trek". I remember the scene which caught my attention was, Kirk and Spock playing 3D-chess. When Kirk tries to understand Spock by reading his face expression, and Spock tries to understand Kirk analyzing his game strategy. I think the main thing for me was their curiosity to each other, to other's way of thinking. So, it feels a lack of "Trek vibes" if the characters show no interest to each other. In that sense, Archer & Shran interaction is the most Trek'y thing in the entire ST:ENT series :)

the best fanfiction you've ever read was written by a woman in her 40s before she made dinner for her kids. it was written by a teenager after school when they should've been studying for a history test. and a barista came up with the idea while they cleaned the espresso machine and busser fact-checked it on their break and the post-doc edited between writing grant proposals and the nurse apologized for typos in the notes after a long shift and behind every drabble and one-shot and multi-chapter fic there is a person with a wonderful and interesting and chaotic life and it is such a privilege that we get to be apart of it because they decided to do this thing we all share, for fun.

When we were prepping this FedEx went on strike. A lot of the pieces I wanted didn’t arrive in time. We ended up customizing tactical pieces, overdying and recutting old pieces with some @ssense in between.
