Stop telling Jay to sleep.
Constantly telling him to go to sleep every time he shows up indirectly tells him that none of you want him around. Even if that's not your intent. If every single time you showed up and you were constantly told to sleep and nothing else, you'd probably spiral down a train of thought coming to the conclusion that they're passive-aggressively telling you to go away. While Jay hasn't explicitly said he feels like everyone hates him, he has commented several times that places make him feel unwanted.
Another reason why is that it can be incredibly patronising to him. On a voice call with Jay, he's expressed constant annoyance towards anyone telling him to sleep. When asked why that was, he replied that he was "a grown man who knows the limits to (his) own body." which he is absolutely right in saying. Jay doesn't need an army of 8-16 year olds taking care of him. What you're saying to him by babying him is "I don't think you're mature enough to handle yourself." again, while it may not be your intent, it's what will be seen.
Jay may also not even be tired? At all? His voice isn't full of energy unless talking with his close friends. He just naturally sounds soft, mellow and occasionally monotone. That's just his voice. Has no one heard a grown man in college talk before i stg.
This last reason is mainly inferred from his speech patterns, mood changes, and so on so bear with me please.
Jay might not be able to sleep when you tell him to.
"well, he can sleep after whatever he's doing is finished!" you might think but hear me out
It might be the same as telling a depressed person to just be happy.
He can't. Time won't allow him.
It's common knowledge he's majoring in Mining Engineering so as one would expect, there's a never ending flow of work and study. However, this isn't the only reason why.
Remember how we all know Jay? Remember how his channel blew up because of a miscommunication with Daniel and him that lead to Jay's channel being name dropped instead of "referenced" like he thought it would?
Jay's smart. We know this. It's evident through everything he's been in. While he's as dense as a singularity sometimes, the dude knows how to plan and work accordingly to whatever happens.
This includes a somewhat steady stream (hehe stream.) of content to keep his fanbase happy.
It doesn't take much brainpower to realize everything Jay has on his plate can cause a shortage in time. Especially from someone like him who constantly gets bombarded with messages from random people telling their life story or being creepy or both.
This has been an extremely lengthy rant about Jay, sorry if things dont make sense... I just kind of rambled but I hate seeing him distressed.
