Started prep work for Artfight wicked late, figured I'd go through my head and think of past OCs that I could bring out.
He was sorta inspired by The Sandman, the idea that he can create anything from a mix of magic gold dust he generates from his body and his imagination. In Goldie's case his magic is genetic, going back till they couldn't trace. The powers that be figured it out and each generation was trained as an assassin for the rich and powerful.
Goldie's mom, Sparkle, had the specific ability to create visual explosions, lots of glitter. Her power is relatively weak, but her ability to commit subterfuge was unmatched.
Goldie's grandfather, Blue, had the ability to create magical hands that he could control and use as physical appendages. He's incredibly dedicated to his missions, and was personally training Goldie.
Goldie himself is a generational power that had only been rumored to be a potential in the family. His ability to create anything is scary powerful, and if he or his powers fell into the wrong hands he could bring down nations.
His mom saw this and managed to escape with Goldie after years of planning. She found refuge in pits of society and finally the safety place ended up being a trailer park. She'd only work jobs that paid in cash under the table, and eventually ended up as a stripper with a spectacular show.
Eventually Blue found them and in a scuffle Sparkle died but Goldie managed to escape but now found himself alone and homeless. He started living on the streets, performing with his magic sometimes, but mostly begging to get by.
His original story was written with someone and it was that he was found be a three body Gestalt (someone who is one person among many bodies), and they took him in and started caring for him. That was someone else's character so he needs a different future... I have a feeling his mom might not be as dead as he thinks or in the right mind.
