They're super easy to make, though I had a store-bought divider that I was using prior to making these to cut them to the right size. I found the black craft mesh at Michaels and the report cover binders at Office Max. :)

Well, here he is! The koi betta that I purchased from Aquabid! He is so wee! He is active and wiggly and impossible to get a good picture of, so here is a video. As you can see here, he likes playing in the filter output and snapping at bubbles. Therefore, his tentative name is Paladin.

New betta!

Eeee~! My betta purchased from Aquabid has reached the transhipper and will be here tomorrow! Pictures to come, and hopefully I will have chosen a name by then. XD

@ people who keep their bettas in bowls/tiny tanks/vases/bottles

Here’s what you’ve been missing out on:

a fish that isn’t always just sitting at the bottom of it’s tank or resting at the surface

a fish that’s always moving and exploring

a fish that gets excited and greets you when you come to the tank

a fish with a personality!

changing colors (usually strong, bold colors!) over time when you move them from a tiny cup and into a big tank

bigger fins over time when you move them from a tiny cup into a big tank

flaring!! 

when their little eyes look up at things curiously

when their fins do the little “brrrt!!” thing

I’ve made the exact same mistakes in the past and now that I have my heated 2.6, it’s so clear to me what I’d been doing wrong I greatly encourage you to put in a little extra effort into betta care, I can absolutely guarantee that a happy fish will make you much happier to have it too

your fish will thank you!!

It's difficult to get nice photos of this guy due to lighting/glare/reflections on the tank. Finally got something worth posting. :)

The current setup for my three betta boys + some shrimp and a nerite snail. Karma gets the larger side because he actually plays nice with the shrimp (unlike the other two shrimp-killers XD).
