My name is Raine! I'm 20 years old and use she/her, he/him, and they/them pronouns.

I do a lot of random posting on this blog, mostly political commentaries and posts about my interests, which include but are not limited to: anime/manga (specifically Black Butler (anti-Sebaciel but not anti-shipper)), kandi and kandi making, creative writing, fantasy, 90s movies, Kpop Demon Hunters, and Danny Phantom Exe. For context, I only own Black Butler volumes 1-5, and I have seen every episode of the anime. (Including OVAs, the behind the scenes, etc)

Black Butler is also my special interest. I can tell you the most useless facts about it, but I'll spare you from that, as there's one in particular that I would like to throw out: Sebastian Michaelis is NOT a well-written character and pretty privilege is very much a thing in the fandom.

I love Sebastian. He's a cool butler. However, he is simply one hell of a 2-dimensional character. His only goal is to eat Ciel's soul and keep him and the young master safe in order to do that. He doesn't have much of a real personality; he's kinda flat as a character, and I swear he's borderline stupid. Like he's smart book-wise, but socially, he's a fucking idiot.

But he is my blorbo ig. I love him but omfg. Yana, girl, if you don't give us more, istg. (Note: I'm still reading the manga. Don't yell at me. I'll reblog with my opinion once I'm caught up.)

Are We Having Fun Yet?

I know I should be happy.

I've got a new job that's really amazing so far. I got a really cool girl's phone number and I feel like maybe we could be friends if she doesn't get tired of me blowing up her phone lol. I've got a loving family who supports me for the most part. I've got so much money saved up-- that I earned all by myself-- and I'm on my way to getting my own place.

So why the fuck is depression coming out of nowhere and kicking me in the balls? Why do I feel trapped in my relationship with my boyfriend right now? Why do I find it so hard to make friends at this new job? And why am I questioning if I might be interested in polyamory even though that would NEVER be acceptable for anyone I know, especially myself? Or maybe I'm not actually wanting a poly relationship, and I just want to be in a relationship with someone other than a condescending cishet man who only thinks with the head between his legs.

I'm just so tired and frustrated all the time now. So if I'm not uploading, you know why.

Update

I started my new job Monday. For a refresher, I work full-time in health insurance, specifically as a customer service advocate. I actually don't hate it so far, but I'm only in training right now, and will be until June 30th. (They really take this seriously).

So far, I've made a couple of acquaintances that are really cool and invite me to sit at their table at lunch. One of them has practically adopted me omg, and she's so cool. I gave her a bracelet for her daughter too, and now her daughter thinks I'm the Kandi Lord (trademark pending) 🥺

My staff development specialists, the ones training me, are really cool too. (There's a supervisor in the classroom too. She complimented my posture ✌🏻). One of them has the prettiest dresses I've ever seen, and she's a HUGE comic book and anime nerd. And she gives us coffee and candy for free in the mornings 💕

Speaking of coffee, our building has a Starbucks??? And a super enormous cafeteria??? And a canteen full of snacks and sodas and energy drinks??? It's insane. They have chocolate chunk cookies bigger than my hand. (I have small hands so that's not saying much, but you get my point)

Anyways the only con as of right now is that I've had to introduce myself to every single new person I meet. And I don't mean just name and job, I mean like they want to know your grandmother's maiden name practically.

For context, I hate introducing myself. I always share too much about myself or I don't know what to say, so I compliment something random they're wearing whether I actually like it or not, and just then stare blankly into their soul. (Rizz em with the tism, ig)

Anyways all this to say, I haven't forgotten you guys. I still love and appreciate all of you and I will absolutely try to post on the weekends if I can, maybe even weekdays once I'm done with training or chilling on my lunch break.
