It becomes an expectation.
If he's going to bed, he expects you to follow. Once Franco's day is done, he's been run ragged from chasing those fuckass roaches and Murkoff isn't up his ass. He is trudging to his bed, and if you don't appear he's crying.
Catching your attention with a loud, drawn-out wahh.
If that doesn't get your attention, he's starts sulking. He sits on the bed, kicking his feet and staring at the wall. Waiting for you. Might even lay on the floor and start drawing, or scribbling childish things like come back, mommy or miss you. If he could go to sleep, he would, but he gets restless without you. Can't sleep without you in the vicinity. It's a greedy habit, always wanting to be in your orbit. Always wanting you as close as possible.
But it's not like you have anything else to do.
Murkoff gives you just enough to scrape by.
What else do you have time for other than him?
If you don't show within ten minutes, he crawls out of bed to follow you around. Blinking slow and wobbling. Eyes lidded and lazily sucking on his thumb.
He's genuinely exhausted, staying up this long is fucking with his circadian rhythm, but he needs you to lay with him. He starts whining if you take too long, tugging at your clothes and trying to guide you to bed. This usually works because Franco's cartoonishly strong, and extremely capable of manhandling you when he wants to.
In bed, Franco's throwing himself on top of you. Cuddling is a must. Franco needs to be smothered to sleep properly. He sleeps with his head underneath the covers too. I don't think he's a big fan of spooning, not even if he's the little spoon. It's alright. He doesn't hate it. He prefers other positions.
He likes having his head on your chest, and letting your heartbeat lull him to bed. Sleeping on top of your boobs comes naturally. They're so soft and warm and nice, how could he not rest his head on them. His leg slung over your stomach, holding you close to him. He'd also liked to sleep on your stomach, your thighs parted and his cheek pressed to where your womb would be.
That one is usually reserved for nap time, though.
It can get uncomfortable after a while.
He also likes sleeping with you on top of him, or as close as you get. Something about the weight is comforting.
