I love feminist antipsych but we do all need to remain present (AS MANY TRAILBLAZING LESFEM CRITICS OF PSYCHIATRY SUCCESSFULLY DID!!) with the reality that developmental, neurological, mental, social, etc, disabilities exist and these women are legitimate parts of the community. We can criticize a framing while recognizing it was conceived in response to the existence of a fairly coherent group of people that do have specific needs and considerations. Peer organizing for women who have different conditions in the traditional framing coming up with new special lesbian names for autism, schizophrenia, bipolar etc would be sweet and cool. Women without specific conditions (that a bunch of people DO for many purposes have) insisting they do not exist is . . Well. along the lines of the ideology that motivates keeping your developmentally disabled relative in the attic
